Gwen said that every character feels broken and the writers wondered if you can save yourself... through the new Taylor Swift song "Anti-Hero" ❤ one of the things it says is that it's better to look at the sun than at the mirror... and it was about the imposter syndrome and everyone said that Jay was ooc but was he really? in 10x01 Vo*ght as an example told Hailey and Jay that they were the problem and not him... and in 10x05 Hailey said to Vo*ght "What if the wolf was in the hen house the whole time" with foreshadowing music... what if they say Sean/Jay is the problem and he is the Wolf... but basically everyone on the team is the wolf... because technically everyone has acted ooc and is an impostor by that I mean every character (Kim,Adam ,Torres, Kevin, Jay, Hailey, Vo*ght, Trudy)
What do you think about that?
I hope it somehow ends well for everyone
Sorry this ask has taken me a while to get back to you. There's a lot to dissect in here.
I think that in 10x01 Voight telling Hailey and Jay what he told them was completely out of line. Hailey and Jay aren't each other's keepers... But they also are each other's keepers. They're married. It is his job to worry about her, and it is her job to worry about him. That implies to their partnership and to their marriage. You can be independent while maintaining a level of dependency on another person. Voight has been a lone wolf for SO long, he doesn't really know what Hailey and Jay are like. Sure, he knows them, knows how they operate to an extent- but he's not their partner. He doesn't know their marriage. To me, Voight was just trying to justify his actions and insert himself into a situation he had no place inserting himself into.
As for the rest of it, I think Sean is the "wolf" they keep referring to. Hailey is going to dive deep into this case- we saw it with the trailer for 10x07. Whether or not she goes off book or stays on record for something, this is going to go down a dark and winding road.
Jay doesn't really play a piece in any of this- aside from the fact that his departure being the catalyst for Hailey to hyper-fixate on the case.
I do think that things are going to end up OK, mostly for Upstead.
Thanks for the ask from Germany, xo! My ask box is open any time.
