The way you portrayed Megumi’s trauma, guilt, and the process of healing with Yuuji was so beautifully done. I really loved how the Lazarus metaphor was woven into the story, especially the idea of Megumi feeling like someone who was brought back to life but still struggling to believe he deserves that second chance. The way Yuuji and Megumi comfort each other through their shared pain felt incredibly emotional and genuine.

I also really loved how the scars weren’t just physical reminders of what happened, but symbols of everything they survived and carried together. Their connection felt so intimate because it wasn’t about magically fixing each other, but about choosing to stay and heal together.

I’m curious, do you think Megumi would eventually come to fully accept his second chance and see himself as someone worthy of living, or will that guilt always remain a part of him even as he heals with Yuuji?

hi there!! thank you so much for reading lazarus effect! this is a fic i'm often very proud of. i loved being able to write more about the inner monologue and feelings of megumi post-canon. i'm really glad that you enjoyed that and how i wove that throughout the story with different metaphors. i LOVEEE metaphors ahahaha

and yes!! the scars are very symbolic to me, both in canon and in fics, but i really love expanding on them in fics, bc i think it really adds to the story and depth of the characters' emotions.

first of all, i think you're such a talented author!! i spent a long time away from reading, but i’m diving back in full force this year, and your fanfics are helping me immensely. with every story i read, i just want to consume more and more. i just finished necessary evil and i feel like every word of that story is etched into my brain. that story and SD are hands down my favorite fanfics!!

soo, i wanted to ask about your writing process…how did you find your way? how did you get started? what advice would you give to someone who is full of ideas but has writer's block?

HI THERE!! sorry for taking so long to reply. it's been a very busy month for me, and i am now currently hosting a friend for the week, so not as busy, but i'm still not online much. SORRY ABOUT THAT.

that being said, thank you so much! i'm so glad that you like my writing, and i appreciate you reaching out! necessary evil and skinny dipping are two of my proudest works, and it means a lot to me that you enjoy those.

as for my writing process, i fear i don't know how well my advice is. i tend to just sort of... go for it? i often latch onto an idea that comes to me out of nowhere, either from a song, an experience, or just a concept that i've slowly built over time. skinny dipping was from the song, of course, by sabrina carpenter. and necessary evil was born out of me wanting to write a villain megumi/enemies to lovers story.

it took a lot of conceptualising and planning for both of those, but what i like to do is know where i'm going in a story as complex or long as these two. i outline first, which... "outline" is such a vague overstatement LOL. my outlines are generally pretty scarce, but i keep key points noted for each chapter and highlight the big story beats that i make sure i want to cover.

from there, it's just about inspiration and motivation! i try to write pretty regularly, but i've actually just come out of a recent writer's block myself. it was rough for a time, but i kept reminding myself that this is something i'm doing because i love and not because i'm obligated to. even if it was sitting down to write 100 words over the span of six hours, i still wrote SOMETHING, and that was meaningful enough! when i was lacking inspiration, i would usually either listen to music or read a book! i ended up reading Project Hail Mary, rereading Sunrise on the Reaping, and also recently picked up an autobiography that i'm about halfway through. i just enjoy expanding my palate of consumption, so my reading it a bit all over the place LOL.
