trying to understand my zoophilic disorder better. it's caused me a lot distress over the years to even think about but I've been trying to accept and like "come to terms" with it. try to cope with it better. my brain pushes back against thinking of myself directly as a zoophilie. I can address it as Faunoiphilia and a zoophilic disorder without distress. it just makes it hard to engage and try find support with this internal conflict.

I have many pets and have never hurt them, I even study animals because I simply find them fascinating! There is no shame in having pets for any reason as long as you do your research so you don't accidentally neglect or abuse them (which is very prevalent with cats, as many people don't put effort into researching how to keep them happy and safe). Many beings with zoophilia understand the difference between thoughts and attractions and actual actions, nobody should judge you for this.

My friend just outed me as a zoophile to their friend group while on call (misunderstanding they thought I was out for some reason??). One said they wanted me out of their life and unadded me and the other left after they debated the ethics and ran out of words. Their points were that the thoughts would fester if I didn’t get help and that I would hurt an animal at some point etc. I explained how it’s not Zoophilc obsessive complex thoughts, I just have an attraction to animals and while I do have thoughts towards animals it’s not distressing so much as uncomfortable (I’ve been trying not to hate myself for this and getting better from the belief that I had to hate myself forever and that it was a terrible secret). I think the first friend will issue an ultimatum to the one that outed me (the one that outed me accepts it since I’m firmly anti contact) I’m so sick of being told just having thoughts is a slippery slope and that I have to get help. I have told my therapist about it. The group won’t accept it. Why must I be hated for something that doesn’t hurt anyone? I don’t want to lose everyone. I don’t want to confirm the belief that I’m unworthy of love because of something so intrinsic to myself. I don’t want to lose everyone. Genuine question, why make your posts so heavily formatted if you're unable to make them accessible as well? Doesn't it take a lot of spoons to do the formatting, and would take less if you were to just put them in plain text?

I can't do IDs because I have no idea how to describe half of the flags i make in a simple, clear way.
I also don't know what fully counts as 'plain text' as I have had it in the past on previous blogs where I thought something was plain text but it was not {apparently??} So I find it easier to just stick to one formatting to avoid going back and forth over what works.
^^^ plus it makes everything consistent with all my other blogs I have, which would really bother me {a lot} if it was not consistent. I would have to change how I format all my other blogs too which would also be straining to me.
Also, I know you meant this as a genuine question, but I do not owe you an explanation to how my body or brain or whatever else people want to question about me works.
