“I wish I was, I really do,” Lillian confessed. Even at the best of times she, as well as many vampires she knew, avoided the topic of the Volturi like the plague. It felt almost as if talking about them spoke them into being in a superstitious part of her brain. The mere mention of them put her on edge, made her skin crawl, “Just… trust me, they’re not as cute and cuddly as I am.” she quipped.

Lillian: If my younger self could have seen the way I am now, I don't doubt she'll be disappointed from the way I turned out. I can't blame her honestly, after all I was once a conselgire of my own famiglia and to stoop so low as to become a lowly maid? I couldn't possibly imagine what my younger self would think! What else is she supposed to think? Relieved that I'm doing well and didn't end up like the others? Oh please, like that would make a difference...!!

“No, it's impressive!” Lillian insisted. If she wasn’t as shocked and amazed as most were when first witnessing Ellie’s powers, it was only because they reminded Lillian so much of her sister’s powers. There were differences, she was sure, ones that were probably beyond her to point out. But the comparison was very much there, “It’s just my sister can do that,” she paused to word what she was saying better, “see the future, I mean, as well.”

“I’m fine,” Lillian insisted, looking over to Nico with a knowing look. They were probably both more hungry than they’d like to be, Lillian was definitely more hungry than she’d like to be, but the situation just didn’t make it feasible to eat a full meal. Those were the breaks, she supposed, “I mean it’s not ideal, but I got enough. I’m fine.” she reiterated, “How about you? You holding up OK?” she inquired.

“Really?” it wasn’t exactly a shock to Lillian, Ellie looked young enough to have been turned at sixteen; it just wasn’t the most common thing in her experience. She always considered her brother Edward to have been a bit of a baby in vampire terms, “I was nineteen, just about.”.

"I think I know sort of how you feel." she admitted, not sure if that was the right thing to say, but that's what came to her, after her transformation, she'd seen the absolute worst she was capable of, for nearly a hundred years she'd even been okay with it— but eventually she'd found her way to where she was now, she just had to learn to live with the rest. "I didn't know being a slayer felt like that." she admitted, though how could she. She supposed it wasn't something you could explain.
