would morpheus have affairs with people who weren't love? bc i feel like he would to have intimacy with someone but at the same time he wouldn't? obviously if he was married to someone he truly loved which wasn't arranged, he'd never cheat on them at all
i love your question so muchh because it's also something i've been pondering about on love game. i've thought about this for a while, and unfortunately, i think both reader and dream had lovers before.
as you said, their marriage is basically dead. its nothing but a contract. i don't really see dream or love faulting one another or themselves to seek affection that they both crave especially since the reader is love. i also believe that love has had more lovers that ended bittersweetly while on the other hand, morpheus had lesser lovers like nada and calliope but ended tragically (to follow canon hehe)
now, following these thoughts, i initially wrote a prompt on love and dream fighting about nada:
“And what of you?” You ask him in return, equal in fury.
Morpheus looks visibly perplexed, head tilted to you wondering what he had done. You laugh and take pity on him. Did he think you would never know? “You have a very talkative raven.”
Or do you not still love me?
It has been ten thousand years, Nada. Yes, I still love you. But I have not yet forgiven you.
but now, i'm scrapping it bc it doesnt make sense with love being angry with someone for loving, yknow? i hope this made sense hehe
(also, that nada prompt was supposed to be in the final chap of love game hehe)
