favorite artists: @rannyunny - a pillar of sesskag. I've always admired their work. Their sesskag pieces are classics. i wish I could draw/paint like them. maybe in my next life.

@milomai-art - her art is so soft and beautiful. Even her sketches are gorgeous. Her lines are clean but still ethereal all the same. She is also such a great person overall.

@meldrymoon - her art always makes me smile. Expressive and dynamic. She is also my senpai. She encouraged me big time to get into art, and I am immensely grateful for her. 20/10 one of the kindest people in the fandom and her commissions slaps.

favorite authors: RosieB - Her fics are my comfort. Clearly knowledgeable and such a fluid writer. I go back to her stories whenever I need a sesskag refresher. The Once and Future Taiyoukai is my go-to story. Not as massive as Beside You in Time, but still wonderful.

@drosselmeyerwrites - words just flow out like clear, spring water out of her. I binge read her stories because it's hard not to. Her stories are riveting, filled with emotion, and will take you on a journey that you wish never ended. A thoughtful writer, through and through.

@wbficaholic/wonderbug - her writing grips you by the neck (in a good way). A master of delivering thought-provoking and well-written stories that make you think about what you just read because it's so good. I've enjoyed her stories immensely.

@chierafied - how she can get you so wholefully invested in a fulfilling story in under 1000 words is truly a talent that I can't even fathom. Her older (and longer) sesskag stories are also an enjoyable read.

You said Daki and my brain went to her demon form sans tattoos, not as Warabihime because well...I wasn't gonna go draw Zero from HNY. Though tbf, I felt like this could very well be Daki if you take the feather, earrings, fan, and yukata away.

these are some snippets from the anime (that I recall). There are others, ofc. These were the ones that stood out to me most.

there are other Sesshomaru and Kagome interactions that also happen in Ep 22 of IY: The Final Act that I don’t have/can’t find a gif or video.

Apologies if this is not a comprehensive list, however, I hope this helps. I am no expert on this subject matter, unfortunately. I’m sure other people in the fandom might recall moments that I forgot.

Hi- Thanks for the ask. It’ll be multi-chapter. I haven’t written anything in millennia so this was going to serve as a writing exercise (I currently don’t have a beta for this story so I’m flying by the seam of my pants and trying to get a handle on writing again…and most importantly having fun with it)
