hi!! I get the not wanting to feel like a flop, it can be disheartening to work hard on something only to have it fly under the radar. Generally, I think there are two major-ish components to being ~noticed~ (this is assuming you’re posting on ao3!). 

1. Confident, well-written summaries + good tags. 

I almost never click on fics that use phrases like this: -too lazy to write a summary-it is a mess-i’m bad at tagging-not good at writing rip-this wasn’t planned the best- give it a try, i swear it’s not complete shit

When you add phrases like these into your tags or summary you’re literally actively discouraging people from taking a chance on your fic. 

I have a whole opinion about the most preferable way to tag fics, but I don’t wanna write a novel here lol. It basically boils down to keeping it simple yet informative!

2. Being friends with other writers.

Definitely do not try to make friends with other writers just because you want your fic to be noticed - that sucks. That really sucks. But one of the best ways to improve your fic in the first place (and therefore increase the chances that ppl will love + share it) is to get another writer to beta your fic and give you feedback. 

All you have to do to get to that point, really, is interact and make some friends. I know that might be intimidating, but it’s worth it! The writing communities in the BTS fandom, at least, are really kind/welcoming/encouraging.

as for a prequel..maybe! i wouldn’t hold me to that though, the last time i wrote prequels/sequels they were so horrible i deleted them, lmao! i do love jikook….so much, though…i’m working on another soft jikook rn actually :’) 

hi! I mean, I’m kinda surprised to be getting this question in the first place, but I don’t think it’s weird or uncomfortable at all :)

My very short answer is that I feel fine about it? I would personally like to see more fics written about poly relationships that weren’t just PWP (though I’m fine with PWP too, of course). 

as always I just need to be the change I wanna see in the world. Meanwhile, I have read some fics with poly relayshes - these are the first two that came to mind!

There were a lot of things about Jimin that Yoongi loved, but most of them were related to office skills, like his ability to blend into the walls during meetings and take perfect notes. Or the way Jimin dealt with the annoying people who liked to try and drop in on him. Or Jimin’s impeccable assortment of tailored shirts and pants, all of which made his body look incredible, altogether out of place in the harried halls of the West Wing. Shit. No. Jimin was just good at looking professional. His ass was inconsequential.

He’s been staring at the gray linen sheet he pulled over his head a day and a half ago for hours. His bed feels just as comfortable and safe as it did when he was seventeen and still sharing with Taehyung, though of course he’s alone now. Taehyung will be here any day now - he will, or Jimin has completely lost his mind. Usually he doesn’t have to hear from his brother specifically to know when Tae’s coming or going. He can just feel the distance flexing between them.
