ahh, the E-soul trio. it's a shame, really, how gloomy most of their scenes all together are. because im sure they were great friends, but their moments that we got to see were mostly clouded because of Yang Cheng's feeling like a third-wheeler to Shang Chao and Xia Qing. in fact, it's what first kind of made me doubt the genuinity of their friendship because of how awkward it was. but after Shang Chao's death, after seeing the extents Yang Cheng went to for Shang Chao's sake afterwards, and how much the distance between her and her friends affected Xia Qing, im sure they had their precious moments. its really sad to think about, but i loved them 💙💛💚

hmm, in all of the milgram-related websites i've seen so far—the official MILGRAN website, the fandom wiki, and a few other fan-made ones—it includes the gender of the characters. for all the prisoners, as well as Jackalope, it says either male or female. meanwhile for Es, they're referred to with they/them, but their gender is stated as "unknown" rather than "non-binary." so i'd believe that the main reason they refer to Es with they/them is for the... adaptability(????) of us viewers. we can refer to them with whatever we want, be it the same as our own pronouns, or perhaps by some other headcanons we have.

soo... yeah! hmm,, unless it's eventually confirmed that Es is non-binary, i feel like i'll continue with my he/him/they/them use :3 which makes me wonder if any of the prisoners have ever asked Es regarding this......
