Why did Fluttershy start an animal sanctuary in Manehattan?
As for why, according to Rarity Manehattan just suddenly got swarmed with all these random animals that were causing quite a bit of trouble! So a few residents there decided to open a Sanctuary to house and care for some of them until they could be returned to...well, wherever they'd traveled there from!

My fav Turtle is Leader Boi, Leonardo. <3 :) When I first saw the 1987 toon (my introduction into the franchise) back when I was around 5 yo (I technically wasnāt born until a year later but it only started airing here around 1992/3, [third world problems LOL]) and my fav initially started out being Michelangelo, because he was my older brothersā fav, but it soon changed over to Leonardo cause of the blue (best colour, just saying ;P ) his personality, and his weapons being katana (I like swords). Ever since then, heās been fav Turtle in all theĀ āverses. :)
And my fav version of him... Have to give it to 2003ā²s Leo!! I really adore the Bayverse and 2007sā Leos as well, but 2003ā²s is something really special; Firstly, the voice. I love the othersā as well, but Michael Sinterniklaas just absolutely nails how Iād expect Leo, a young, leader-type character to sound like.
This Leo has so much character development throughout the series! Heās not just portrayed simply asĀ āthe leaderā; he goes through major struggles, he goofs around with his brothers, heās dedicated to his Ninjitsu and protective of his family, heās very respectful of others, just an overall great character! He did make some goof-ups along the way, but he was practically always reprimanded in some way for them. NoĀ āIām better than you.ās orĀ āThereās only one vote that counts in this family: Mine!ās from this guy. ;) That little bit of egotism left the building very early on in the series.
I could seriously go on forever about why I adore my Blu Boi, but you get the gist. ;)
