AshVik and ArVi
ArVi(one of the most beautiful on-screen jodis ever) portrayed by AshVik (the cutest, sweetest, most adorable yet the craziest celebrity jodi I have ever seen). The ArVi love story was amazing. It was very cute and till date whenever I re-watch their old scenes, especially the intense ones (like their fight ones in May 2012, after the 20 year leap, and even their romantic ones) they make my heart skip a beat. The story was beautifully shown until the whole deal fiasco. ArVi's characters were totally butchered at that point especially Arjun’s. Because Arjun was a guy who would fight for his love like he did initially. He knew what the consequences would be when everyone would come to know the truth, yet he went on to fight for Purvi. Heck, he even fought against her for her. Purvi's character too was butchered but not as much as Arjun's. Because Purvi was always shown to love her mother a lot. Her love for her mother was so much that she would do anything for her. How I feel Purvi’s character was butchered was after the whole deal thing, she never regretted what she did, she never felt sorry for her mistake and she never missed Arjun as much as she should have.
Even the deal marriage was acceptable to a certain extent, but Arjun sleeping with Ovi and Purvi beginning to have feelings for Onir was a big No-No for me. That just ruined EVERYTHING. We could have for a while believed that for the sake of their love (Arjun’s for Purvi and Purvi’s for Archana), they ended up making the mistake (the deal), but the CVs had to make everything worse than what it was by making Arjun a father of 2 sisters children, and Purvi almost falling for Onir.
However, it was during this whole time that we got to see many AshVik off- screen segments and their closeness and them winning the best Jodi at ZRA. I must say hats off to the ArVi and AshVik fandom for making them win this award in spite of the couple not being together on screen. The AshVik off-screen segments have always been a treat to watch and they made this whole phase more bearable.
I always had double minds on whether AshVik should quit the show or not. One can say that I am selfish in this way, but I would really miss ArVi and the off- screen AshVik segments we are so used to getting. And the moment they would quit, all this would stop or reduce. However, after seeing the way ArVi were treated in the show (their characters butchered, the senseless separation, their wardrobe, and their make-up, basically everything) really upset me such that I wanted AshVik to quit the show ASAP.
Finally, when I read the news that they quit, I was really sad. A part of me was happy, as I wanted AshVik to quit the show and get better opportunities, but a major part of me was sad. I would miss ArVi; their love story was a beautiful one, their characterisation was really good until the deal and I would miss AshVik; their beautiful and amazing chemistry, their craziness and everything about them. The story could have been a beautiful one. Even after the senseless separation. I would have loved to see Arjun and Pari’s bonding, like in Pari’s childhood (I miss that baby), I would have loved to see ArViRi and mainly how Arjun and Pari catch up on the lost time
Completing my post with loads of best wishes for AshVik and us AshVikians. I hope we continue ‘meeting’ in the AT and sharing and spreading our love for the cutest AshVik. Best of luck to AshVik. I really hope we get to see them in a nice show together or at least an epsisodic on Yeh Hai Aashiqui. All the best to everyone!!
P.S: My post is inspired from a few that I read and of course my feelings.
