Time was going by too fast. Fawna was finally settling in to her slightly younger body, had gotten familiar with her mother’s chastising again, she had even started expecting to wake up in 2014 --- but the impending doom would not go away. Whatever they were going to do to save George and Nina (and Mx, Andi and Zeki) should probably be in motion now. As far as she knew, no one had a real plan. But she couldn’t wait until September to just see what happened. She could not and would not lose George again.
There was only one place she could think to start; where change had happened. If a fire had spread that didn’t before, she still clung to the thought that everything was going to turn out differently. And if they caught who burned that building down, wasn’t it possible it would be the same arsonist, therefore stopping them in their tracks? It had taken awhile to find Ash, as she knew very little about her. She was mainly walking through town keeping her eyes peeled in hopes she’d be around. So the moment she spotted her, she made a beeline for the other girl; if she let her get away, there was a chance she wouldn’t even see her again. “Hey! Did you ever figure out what happened to Holy Cannoli’s?”
