While the animation is def top tier most of the times everything else is pretty... Not memorable? Lots of characters that just do shit cause they are special, nothing ventured nothing gained. I really liked what Maki did in S3 because at least it's not just some random Kirito-lookin guy just winning because they are blessed, otherwise every woman in the show is just a support character or worse. Talking with a friend we kind of agreed that the whole Yuta-Rika thing would have been more interesting the other way around (Yuta becoming the spirit and Rika being the one living) because at least it would give some variety to this swarm of nepo babies leading everything.
