Ashrays are amongst the lesser know of Britain's mythological creatures. Entirely nocturnal, the water spirits are translucent and may appear in feminine or masculine guise. Unfortunately the creatures are incredibly vulnerable and, if captured and exposed to sunlight, will fade away, leaving only a puddle behind.
