mostly my writing. I've learned how to write and characterize on the fly. I am very much not a professional I just hope for the best, bug I wish i could change my understanding of characterization and just, write what I want- not what anyone else wants.

Haha honestly a lot. Its weird we've normalized feeling bad for enjoying something, and to some degree blacklisting certain fandoms, for situations we can't control. Separate the art from the artist. Fanfic, rp, etc doesn't make anyone any money unless you're paying people to do it which means you're doing it wrong. Just my opinion anyway. Its even cringier when you tell other people what they can and cant like.

i love muse and how they're going all out on the astronomy/spacey theme for tw!s (massive yap ahead)
the first song is literally "the dark forest" which is the name of a theory that basically suggests aliens are hiding throughout the universe and aren't revealing themselves in fear of being destroyed. this sounds like something matt would write about
"cryogen" could be in reference to the concept of cryogenic sleep, which is used across a range of science fiction to allow astronauts to sleep for long missions (like in interstellar, for example).
"be with you" has a reference to the poem "do not go gentle into that good night" by dylan thomas - "i won't go quiet into the night / i'll rage against the dying light" are the lyrics, and the poem's refrain is "do not go gentle into that good night / rage, rage against the dying of the light". this poem is very famously used in interstellar, which is one of the most well-known movies related to space.
i hope i don't have to explain how "nightshift superstar" and "space debris" are space themed
not to mention the actual name of the album - the wow! signal was a radio signal detected in 1977. it is represented by the letters "6EQUJ5" - where numbers increasing show increasing intensity in the signal, and then as you go down the alphabet (a b c d etc.) the intensity increases further. hence, the peak of the signal is at U.
you can see how the signal stands out compared to all the other 1s and 3s around it (and the circled 6 and 7...) which is why the idea of the signal coming from aliens has become very popular. which is another matt-esque thing to write about.
