The goddess hylia was created in skyward sword and then re-introduced in botw. Skyward sword is meant to be the 'first' game in the hyrule lore, the only thing to proceed it is the story of hylia choosing the first hero and the two of them defeating ganon (or demise w/e) and hylia sending the small patch of land that is skyloft, into the air above the clouds. After the events of ss the sky children reintegrate to the surface below and begin to build hyrule.
