We had a car accident which was our last call of shift and it was car vs tree and the occupants ( bf and gf) were scared shitless ( more drama than trauma) but thereβre parents were there. After everything was said and done the parents opted for one of the patients to be transported to the hospital not by ambulance. With a injury preventing her from walking we splinted and than I carried her to her moms car and placed her inside. We chit chatted and than we split ways. And her and her mom said thank you.
While driving back in the ambulance something hit me that made me think and smile...
A) people call on there darkest and worst days and they trust us to make things better
B) I made things a little better
C) holding her hand through the pain meant a lot to her and now me...
D) carrying her to her car (Superman carry) makes me want to work out more lol Iβm surprised I carried her haha
Itβs days like this that make me think Iβm doing something right. And that holding her hand just made me feel something. The fact that such a little gesture to someone makes all the difference in the world.
To be honest it made me feel like Superman and fuck I love that feeling
