With Theo and Elessar leaving, Asher had gotten an upgrade but at the cost of his sire and partner leaving the city altogether. On one hand, the vampire seems incredibly content, on the other, Damian can't stop worrying if Asher is going to go peeling out after them. He wonders if he'd made other people feel that way before, afraid that he was going to just up and leave any moment. But they are sitting amongst Christmas decor in the living room, or at least the Christmas specific candles, so that's something that feels like a semblance of permanence. At least until he manages to broach the subject in broad daylight as he pulls out the three wick of Winter Candy Apple. "Are you gonna be okay in this big place alone?" It's fishing, they both know it, but things are....Different. He doesn't regret telling Asher his feelings by any means, he'd thought about him right before he'd gone up in flames, when he'd thought Regina was going to be the one to end him.
