Ashbu - Would be likely since Wemmbu has a track record for getting attached to people who seem to 'need' her and aren't afraid to show it, which Ash would absolutely do, since Wemmbu is a valuable (and very pretty) asset that he wouldn't want to lose. I think he would treat her a bit more specially since she provides a more unique… service? I suppose. The whole building thing yes, but who else on this server stumbles upon civilizations thought to be lost to time on a random Tuesday… every other week??? He'd probably be kind of fascinated now that I think about it. So ending up in a relationship with her, beginning as a way to keep a special point of interest loyal to him, but growing into a bit of an obsession (the natural progression of anyone around her) makes total sense. Fanfic terminology - they would be the big established pairing.

Minutebu - I think he might end up guarding her sometimes? Early on, she's not a Super Good PVPer, so Ash might have gotten someone trustworthy to guard her on occasion. Which, this would have Minute spending a fair amount of time with her, but also be someone who Notices how Ash and her interact. So, maybe it begins with him feeling a bit uncomfortable with Ash manipulating (and he can feel it, he just doesn't know what to do about it) this girl into a romantic relationship, toeing the line of his willingness to maintain things (he's a gentleman). But he's a loyal man, so he does what he can by taking care of Wemmbu when he can. And like clock-work, he gets attached… and then a bit too attached. A bit of a chance to betray, solely to keep Wemmbu safe, especially if he notices Ash's manipulation turn into genuine interest and (toxic) care.

Spokebu - Spoke is like Ash and Ash is like Spoke. He wouldn't know Wemmbu's identity, so he probably wouldn't have that underlying fear around her he normally does (don't lie to me, he was terrified of her), which we all know, spending a bit of time with her without that, pretty much guarantees growing attached to her. Charismatic, protective, yet mildly insane girl with a penchant for explosions and strange situations? He's screwed. I think his relationship with her would mirror Ash's, starting as trying to manipulate her to get information about the mafia, only to fester into an obsession. I like the idea of Wemmbu spying on the resistance and betraying them, so I'm choosing this canon, but Spoke would absolutely villainize the hell out of Ash in his head and rationalize that Wemmbu is a naturally loyal person, and Ash is clearly manipulating her, so rather than thinking she's an enemy, he thinks he needs to save her (which would introduce conflict to the resistance, thereby adding a new plotline to maximize on having a second Invisible Mafia season- plot design yeeyeyeeye)

Overall, I think establishing Ashbu at the start, developing Minutebu and Spokebu along the plot, Invis mafia goes down eventually, but Spoke (going insane) is developing into a second Ash, just in denial and it's happening slow enough that most people don't notice, but Minute does as he's seen it all before, so he yoinks Wemmbu to skip out and join him in the end (explains it as protecting themselves as they are remnants of the invis mafia, and therefore targets) before Spoke tries to pull something like Ash did and start the cycle all over again.

So Ash and Wemmbu break when Ash is exiled (unofficially tho, so it's more like they can't continue the relationship than any actual problems with it), Minute sneaks her away before someone can try something with her, which develops into a physical relationship and a slowly blooming romantic one (at least slow from Wemmbu's pov lol), with a background plot of Spoke losing it and getting his villain arc where he gets particularly protective of his loved ones, but of course Wemmbu isn't there (which is contributing to the insanity, if anything) and starts up the new overall plotline of Minutebu technically in hiding, Spoke trying to find Wemmbu to "keep her safe", which accidentally interferes with the Director plotline, forcing Wifies and Parrot (AFTER the Wifies reveal because I think it would be funny) to team up because of the genuine threat Spoke is becoming, exploits galore(!!), (p.s. Flame and Mane team up with Flame betraying the mafia, as I think that would be one of the only ways for the mafia to go down?) mayhaps the Law would start appearing and we would get a more good-guy Law and Lettuce teaming with the New Resistance to protect the server from Spoke, and Ash (I refuse to leave him behind) is absolutely scheming for a way to return and take back his power (and almost-wife).

imagine this though, Wemmbu still doesn’t want his identity revealed even after the invis mafia is taken down, so Spoke and Minute don’t know who he truly is, only Ash does. This makes finding him harder for Spoke as he doesn’t know who they truly are, resulting in him being hopeful that any random invis player he come across is Amethyst, and when they turn out not to be he brutally kills them. And with Wemmbu not being connected to the invis mafia’s Amethyst, he could still go on adventures and get his harem just like in canon. 

I feel like since being allowed to build and not being forced to fight, Wemmbu might be a lot chiller. So if you do have him explore the Farlands, he could maybe have had a good time and created a good relationship with Serpentbound, Firestar, Nitenly, and GeeGeeGamer.

plus, depending on how bad you want the Wemm harem, you could add Wemmbu helping out Lettuce for something, them working really closely and Lettuce also getting obsessed. This results in him have two motives to work with the resistance 1:stop Spoke and protect the server 2:protect Wemmbu (who no one but Ash knows is Amethyst).

You could also have WyLLbu with him becoming obsessed with this rando invis player who is somehow important to the mafia, but what ever their company is pretty nice.

oh! And Wemmbu could still have access to all those orbitals and enough resources to make more, allowing for him to stay protected. Maybe Spoke would even get his hands on the one Ash still had lying around and use them.

New Resistance contacting Wemmbu for help to take down Spoke because she's a well-connected person who "discovered" old mafia resources and could be a brilliant asset,

Wemmbu using the opportunity to check in on what's happened since the mafia fell, and maybe even find a way for her lovely lover to return to his power - as she is an unknown remnant of the mafia left completely undiscovered. 

Amethyst being "wanted" as an ex-mafia member by the general server, and "wanted" by Spoke and his new team / organization in order to find and 'protect' her. Wemmbu looking at wanted posters with just her name because they have no idea what she looks like lmaaaaoo.

Ash trying to find a way to contact *Wemmbu* without revealing their connection, using their codes to *keep* that contact and start their own conspiracy to add to the situation (that already has like 5 different agendas happening... Spoke, Parrot, Law, BAT, Director, and now Ashbu)

Not even Wifies knowing who Amethyst is cause she was so careful about things + she was out and about as Wemmbu constantly so "Amethyst" and "Wemmbu" were active at the same time, meaning it wasn't even considered. Using her reputation of being 'flighty' and 'untrusting' + 'untrustworthy' to make the idea that they are the same person unthinkable.

Wemmbu pretending she's also hunting Amethyst for some bounty reward, mostly out of curiosity, while secretly laughing at everyone trying to hunt her down, not realizing she's *one of them*. The New Resistance thinking Amethyst might be the key to taking down Spoke, recruiting Minute due to their connection. Minute refusing to help unless they swear to not bring any harm to her, telling them that she may be a bit unstable (say that again), but she was just as much as a victim to Ash's manipulation as he was, and probably even more since he went farther with her, just to keep her loyal (keeping out the part where Ash was genuinely obsessed with her, making sure she would never be used as a tool to get back at Ash). 

Finding Wemmbu to help the hunt for Amethyst, Wemmbu joining them 'unofficially' and Minute only taking a few hours to realize Wemmbu is Amethyst (he knew her body language from head to toe, the jokes she made, the little quirks that made her, *her*) but not exposing her to the others, only slipping her away during a quiet moment to reveal he knew and check up on her in a way that didn't require her to lie.

Wemmbu actually liking Minute and wanting him to stay with the mafia, slowly growing more manipulative due to Ash's influence, and Minute has no guard against her, his rose-tinted glasses preventing him from noticing the little things that he would with anything else. Wemmbu keeping him close while complaining to Ash about this resistance trying to take him away from *them*, because Minute belongs to the mafia, just like she does.

what would be funny though is like, I’m getting ahead of myself here, what if they all meet at this giant open area or giant build (kinda like LAW finale setting) and Wemmbu is the last to arrive. And once he arrives, Ash just immediately lights up like a kid on Christmas, this being the first time he’s seen the other in years. And so, before anyone can talk or start fighting, he runs up to Wemmbu and just engulfs him in a hug, saying very loudly and excitedly his name (either Wemmbu or Amythest, maybe Wemmbu for the confusion factor). I think Ash just wouldn’t really care about the oncoming fight anymore, he just misses his wife okay

everyone looks at the two like they are insane, questioning why Ash was hugging Wemmbu, especially since they’ve never even seen each other before (that they are aware of). And eventually Wemmbu returns the hug, snuggling his head into the crook of the others neck. I don’t know who, but I think it would either be Theo or Spoke who yell out a very loud “WHAT (IN) THE (ABSOLUTE) FUCK!!”

Eventually the two separate from the hug, but Ash is still holding Wemmbu, checking over him to make sure he is okay. As he’s doing this he’s saying, “Oh dear, I’ve missed you so much” or something corny like that in a way to soft and genuine voice. Wemmbu is smiling and leaning into his touch, saying he missed Ash too.

Eventually Spoke, or maybe Wifies or Parrot figure out the connection via Amethyst and are like “ain’t no way”. - Anon S. Please elaborate on this scenario, but don’t go anywhere as I have a diff ending for you

alternate ending(or something)

Maybe the gang rolls up to Spoke and Ashswagg’s annual meeting to talk about evil, having the main PVPrs like Flame and Mane corner them with a sword to their throats respectively. Then Parrot, Wifies and the gang (minus Wemmbu) rolls in after those two and start questioning the hell out of the two of them, asking why they are doing this (again) and why Spoke so obsessively wants this random invis person.

spoke doesn’t explain why exactly, but tiptoes around it because leverage. And maybe while Spoke talks, he eventually mentions Amethyst (or maybe Minute mentions how the person Spoke is talking about sounds a lot like Amethyst) and Ash makes a slight reaction, but a reaction nonetheless resulting in Wifies or some one seeing that reaction and interrogating Ash about who Amethyst is/was and if he knows where they are now. 

I don’t know if Ash would crack here, but if he didn’t he’d definitely be hounded by Spoke about everything Ash knew about Amethyst. If he did crack, would it be a little bit (saying, ‘oh yeah they were my most trusted right hand who is one of, if not the main, reason as to why my Mafia thrived and survived for as long as it did.’) or would it be a lot (‘oh yeah, Amethyst. We dated for a while, they were my most trusted parter and person in the mafia, they helped make it thrive and is the sole reason it got so powerful. They were where I got all my info from and they are also the main one building all the red-stone machines that destroyed all those civilizations).

Brain no braining for 1st scenario but never fear!! I have more, 🤨!!

I'm liking everyone having to track down Ash (even Spoke) to find Amethyst, and while interrogating him, he's just very cryptically describing her lmao. "Intelligent, not in the way you are, but in the manner one is when specialized in a particular way. A sense loyalty that would make the Immortal Demon himself jealous." Being of absolutely no help while getting to talk up his wife, while everyone starts imagining some evil mastermind since Ash talks so highly of them.

Wemmbu who found out about the whole thing and goes to find them both to make sure Ash safe, and to lurk weirdly in the background to startle people when they finally notice her. Once they give up and leave, she sneaks in to cuddle up to him (some random who was a previous mafia victim secretly tries to slip back in and kill Ash - not knowing about the statis failsafe - only to walk in on Wemmbu and Ash getting down to it, and ends up dying to Wemmbu for 'interrupting them'. The last thing on their mind is the realization that Wemmbu is Amethyst.)

Spoke inevitably gives in and goes full Ash, creating an organization that he rules through fear, fighting against the Law for control of the server. Mayhaps he found an exploit that he threatens to use if people don't listen to him. Meanwhile, Wemmbu uses the situation to her advantage, spying on New Resistance (thats just the name) members to find who is important, what weaknesses everyone have, note down resources and important places all given to Ash, and even goes as far as to revive Amethyst to secretly recruit new members to the mafia, not willing to risk tracking down old members, since the statis chamber was discovered. Ash uses the new members to set up new plots to blackmail certain people, and prepare traps in order to steal items and kidnap people to make his old enemies have to submit to him.

He!! Offers!!! to!! Help!! Wifies!! With!! Parrot!! In!! Return!! For!! Him!! Assisting!! Their!! Plans!! Even promising to leave them alone, maybe even helping to keep Parrot 'safe' (trapped). Going as far as to sympathize with him… admitting that he would do the same thing with Amethyst, but she has an impressive record of tripping into new dimensions and lost civilizations so often that he's not sure he'd be able to prevent her from finding some hole in the ground that leads to Narnia no matter where he kept her.

Wemmbu works on Minute, taking lessons from all her past experiences with manipulative people to twist everything in front of him. She downplays Ash's actions, not by making them seem small, but by talking about how his actions are small in comparison to all the stuff she dealt with before. Even stages situations in the New Resistance to silently "show" Minute that Ash may not have been the best, but he definitely wasn't the worst!! Going as far as to frame random people for horrible things that "Ash would never do", or 'accidently' walking in on people talking badly about her so Minute (who is a gentleman and loves her) starts viewing the resistance in a more negative light. After a lot of this, she admits she's still talking to Ash, and that he personally kept her safe when the mafia first fell, getting her to escape even when she wanted to stay with him (she's loyal!!!).

Minute and Ash get talking eventually, and Ash pulls the "we both love her, want her safe and happy, and she's happiest when she's our mafia's Amethyst, isn't she?" which gets Minute to finally re-join them. They slowly pull him into their plans, very, very slowly letting him know about certain things, almost purposely getting him desensitized to all the not very nice things they're doing, while simultaneously slipping him into their relationship (Ash romancing someone into being loyal to him part 2 electric boogaloo) to really nail him down.

I'm thinking the big reveal actually happens during some sort of big finale for Spoke v New Resistance where Spoke actually nearly wins using his New Exploit only for Ash himself to pop in and straight up tell him that if Spoke doesn't give up, both Mappicc (whom has been kidnapped via Ash's plotting) and Amethyst will be dying!! Spoke, who has a fixed narrative in his head that Ash can't feel love and therefore doesn't actually care for Amethyst, believes this, but Ash's care for Amethyst is common knowledge for the New Resistance so they're trying to stop Spoke from falling for it.

Spoke falls for it, giving up his New Exploit (which does save Mappicc, who Ash was planning to kill first to "verify" his claims of killing them, should Spoke not agree), and Ash immediately reveals that he has taken the people who have gone missing recently!! (Mappicc, Wifies (who is in on it), Lomedy probably) He had them statis in different places around the world, and should they not listen to them, he would pull them.

Amethyst gets a subtle, very horrifying reveal, in which someone points out that Wemmbu has no reason to listen to Ash since she doesn't have any relations to the people kidnapped. Ash questions why he would need someone to threaten her with, which culminates into a situation full of confusion… until Parrot very carefully asks Wemmbu about the amethyst charm she's wearing, as he's never seen her wear it before. Insert confused questioning turning into horrified silence as all eyes turn to a confident, smiling Wemmbu who's looking awfully excited for someone who should be stressed about "losing to Ash".

I personally think the quiet, scary reveals are just as, if not more fun than big, auraful reveals. Anyway, Wemmbu joins up with Ash officially, Minute pops in to guard them when things start to get heated (he gets called a simp, for no reason in particular), the New Resistance has to get away and regroup to make news plans to rescue their friends before they confront Ash for the final time. Spoke is pulled along with them, which initiates his forceful redemption arc, in which he is dragged back to sanity kicking and screaming… although he still thinks he can fix Wemmbu, there's no saving him when it comes to his romance issues.

Don't know who would win honestly.

Mafia win - Ashtechbu get to be evilly in love and rule the world with Minute successfully corrupted by his awful lovers, Ash getting his control over life and his lovers, and Wemmbu getting spoiled rotten in bliss while also getting to use her builds for fun when feeling pent up!! She goes on random adventures and brings back new information and resources, getting loved to high heaven in return.

Resistance win - Failsafe is successfully turned off and Ash doesn't make it :( … !! But !! Wemmbu and Minute are spared and pardoned since the combined words of Minute and Spoke have (somehow) convinced the group that Ash was simply a god-tier manipulator and they are just his favorite victims. Spoke (SOMEHOW) convinces them to leave Wemmbu and Minute with him (maybe saying he's also a victim, so he would know how to handle things best?) and then takes "I can fix her" to the next level - he first convinces Minute of his side of things (easier, since by this point, Minute wouldn't be as moral-less as Wemmbu), "proving" he's better than Ash by love-bombing the hell out of both of them which ultimately (after a very, very, very, long time) gives Spoketechbu where Wemmbu secretly views Spoke as Ash's "creation" due to how badly Ash screwed him in the head, and believes that it's okay to be with him, since (no matter how badly he denies it) he technically belongs to the mafia. (She thinks that if things didn't go wrong the first time, Spoke might've become a mafia member, maybe even part of the mafiacule (i'm coining the term). They just didn't have the time to get him in.)

Do you think, in a diff ending, if Ash was defeated but Wemmbu not revealed as Amethyst, would Wemmbu use all his knowledge and experiences to manipulate the server from behind the scenes for his own amusement. Because like ‘you killed my husband, so I’m going to toy with your life so much you don’t even feel real or in control of yourself’. Maybe if he did this, would he help Spoke and Minute out since he still has lingering feelings for them since their past together, no matter how strong his feelings for Ash.

if he does go to manipulate the entire server, I feel like it’d just be like how he was in the mafia: going around as his uninvis self getting into random situations and getting stronger and more knowledge. Maybe he’d even create his own form of BAT or something, with his own spies everywhere who report back to him.

(funny little thought not related to this Mafiabu AU, but to your point on Wemmbu walking into a random hole and ending up in Narnia, imagine this: him and a couple others are trapped in either a prison or escape room (probably prison) and they just can’t figure how to get out. Wemmbu’s walking around, eventually tripping and falling. But for some reason he isn’t hitting the floor, or at least not the obsidian floor of the prison. He opens his eyes to see this random new place around him. It’s hot as hell and looks like the Nether, but doesn’t have the same feel to it. Eventually he stands up, wiping all the dust off of him from the weird floor below him.

He looks straight ahead of him, a strange demonic looking figure sitting atop an ominous throne. The demonic being smiles at him, head resting against his proper up arm. “Hello Wemmbu, welcome to hell.”

Wemmbu froze at that. Hell??? (Can’t be bothers to continue so imma summarize). Wemmbu eventually gets a tour of hell, gets some head pats from Lucifer, and then is sent back to the prison with a clue on how to get out. But of course he is sent back exactly to when he was falling from originally tripping. So he lands on his face, which hurts, then gets back up and tells the others vaguely about the hint he was given by the devil himself.)

Mafiabu would be really plausible because, oh hey, look! It’s a pretty strong and smart person who is antagonistic towards my enemy and they don’t truly have any clear morals and they also don’t have an allegiance to anyone!! How perfect for me!!

Minebu/Wemmaner is another ship for Mafiabu depending on how you want Wemmbu joining the mafia. You could say that when Minemanner said Wemmbu could join him/the mafia when he was threatening him, Wemmbu accepted to join him. You could say it was curiosity, maybe even intimidation, or perhaps Stockholm Syndrome, who knows.

But Minemanner brings him to Ash in order to get him indoctrinated or smth. Once Ash sees Wemmbu he remembers that Wemmbu has/had a bad history with Spoke that he could use to his advantage. Along the way Ash learns of(or at the beginning he remembers) Wemmbu’s expertise in red-stone and maybe even his orbital(s) that he used to get rid of the Zampire.

He assigns Minemanner as Wemmbu’s, now Amethyst, bodyguard (at least for right now). Maybe later on Minemanner gets swapped out for Minute due to the value of Amethyst rising, and Minemanner may defect or join the resistance because ‘Wemmbu is his, and his alone.’ So he essentially joins in order to take down the Mafia and have Wemmbu back as ‘his’ once more. Could become super toxic, the other plot lines could still be happening, it’s just that there is now another ingredient added into this suspicious stew.

Minemanner might also, once Wemmbu ‘leaves’ the Mafia, stick by his side in an obsessive and just be supper attached to Wemmbu and always go where Wemmbu goes. However, he doesn’t know about Wemmbu and Ash staying connected, and he is completely gatekeeping the info that Wemmbu is Amethyst.

Wemmbu might keep him around because such behavior was something he was conditioned into not caring about, and he also sees ‘oh, hey, and old Mafia member who’s actually decent at PvP, that’s perfect for when Ash is to rise to power again!!’

Once again, this took me some time to reply because college wants to chain me—ahem. Imma write this as a break from writing so many academic papers (˶˃𐃷˂˶) NOW lemme yap

For the ship thingy, let’s say AshBu has been established. I like to think of Ash as the mafia leader that he is, started off as manipulating Wemmbu into falling in love with him. There’s a difference between manipulating Wemm into being his, and actually making Wemm be the one to walk up to him and feel things about Ash. Granted, both are toxic, but this is to lay the foundation on Ash eventually becoming obsessed with Wemm ꉂ(˵˃ ᗜ ˂˵) I’m a sucker for manipulative characters who ends up losing at their own game once they realize their own feelings becomes real lol (this is unhealthy irl pls this is only for fiction) rich mafia leader who spoils his baby boy with lots of riches and resources to build his weapons of destruction 〜⁠(⁠꒪⁠꒳⁠꒪⁠)⁠〜

Now, if we’re going to talk about Minute and stuff… being assigned as Ame’s personal guard would def be a good approach. I’m not really up for some uhhh like Wemm is a pretty loyal guy, he wouldn’t fall in love with anyone else that easily, especially when he’s already in a relationship. So I’d like to think instead, to add more angst and make Minute suffer (๑>؂•̀๑) that Minute would def see through Ash’s manipulation at the beginning. And then bro sees Ash actually seem to be genuine as the relationship goes on??? Hello?? Is that really their leader?? Oh no, but Minute had grown to care for Ame, deeply, and as much as it pains him to see her being with their leader, he also could see that she’s happy and content with him, so he would def continue protecting her, but it’s less “because boss said so” and more for keeping her safe and happy fr. As long as Ame is in the mafia and with Ash, he won’t stop being her guard.

Now, onto Spoke somehow meeting Ame and somehow not connecting her and Wemmbu from orbital strikes. They’d definitely learn that Ame is the one doing the explosions and weapons, but Wemmbu was also spending time with them so??? No correlation at all, trust! (✿◠‿◠) And yes, when it comes down to the downfall of the mafia, and they still have no idea about the connection between Wemm and Ame, Spoke would villainize the hell out of Ash, would interrogate him about the whereabouts of Ame. Ash would def keep his relationship with Ame to himself, just so he could make Spoke suffer more from the lack of information. And also because who the hell is this guy to ask about his queen?? Like bro. 

Ash had ordered Minute before the final fight, one last order: protect Wemmbu. This would also be a good time to reveal the identity of Ame to Minute, coz it would be funny to break Minute’s mind further with this sudden reveal. So yeah, he sneaks Wemm away after the fight and they hid away at the End for some time (˶ˆᗜˆ˵) and Wemmbu, our lil buddy here, decides to establish the End main island under his control simply because he doesn’t want other players getting End resources for free (˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶) ‹𝟹 Minute decided to go along, because he came across players wanting to exploit the dragon to destroy the spawn. Wemmy still gets to play being a hoarder, and this time, it’s Minute who’s indulging him.

Oh, oh, but when Ash was taken away, he promised the he will come back for Wemmbu. He tells Wemmy to wait. Of course, Wemmy would wait. So there’s no break up happening. Ash knew that Wemmbu rarely hands out his loyalty, but when he does, he’s loyal. So Wemmbu would wait, would do lots of other stuff, perhaps he can do the rest of the arcs (most of them) as long it aligns with his mafia background-lore, but at the same time??? Bro could just be anywhere coz Wemmbu is def not Ame ◝(ᵔᗜᵔ)◜

So far, we got AshBu being some toxic loyal to each other shi, a pining one-sided MinuteBu, and a going borderline-yandere Spoke wrecking havoc on the server. AshTechBu could be a huge possibility, but it would be Ash who would approve it (the control freak he is when it comes to Wemm) because this is not just some rando, this is one of his few (former) diamond-trim mafia members. And since Minute actually did Ash’s last order for him, and even kept Wemmbu happy and safe (as well as Eggchan, can’t forget about the lil guy), then Ash might ‘reward’ him with the opportunity of being able to share Wemmbu with him.

Eggchan in this AU……. Man, you have no idea how much I love cryptid/weird Eggchan. Bro clocked Ash’s manipulation since the start, but the thing is… Eggchan does not like seeing Wemmbu getting hurt and getting into unnecessary fights, or getting chased by enemies. Especially after everything that happened in the Zam Empire, and it was only recent too!! The reason why Eggchan would quietly ‘approve’ Wemm’s relationship with Ash was because the mafia leader keeps Wemmbu safe, happy, and satisfied. So if Wemmbu is chill, Eggchan is chill (๑ᵔ⤙ᵔ๑)

Squiddo can definitely be just as evil as ash if she wants too, and both of them definitely show only her and her only their soft and gentle loving side, I'd say even childish side? maybe mommy issues ash and squiddo and she lowkey pampers and "mothers" them and they are soooo into it. Mommy kink anyone? when she looks at them and interacts with them, they are so loving towards her but when she's not, they return to being evil manipulative asshole mafia leaders.

Anyway, I'm in an Ashbu (+ Squiddo, since SquidSwagg have a "do not separate" sign in my head) mood so that's what we're going with rn.

Current working timeline: Wemmbu doesn't stay at the treehouse after Mane leaves, instead adventuring out. She eventually stumbles across Ash himself (don't know how or where but probably just out in the wild or somethin) and he takes one good look at her and is internally like "yeah smash". Being the manipulative man he is, he instantly turns the charm up to max and starts the conversation with sly testing and a little flirting, and ending with inviting her into the mafia.

HOWEVER!! Instead of being a normal member, or even one of the higher tiered players, he invites her to be a secret bodyguard. Essentially, she sticks around him while full invis in order to protect him in case of an emergency. Like his stasis doesn't work for some reason, or someone found an insta-kill technique.

He sniffs out exactly what makes her tick pretty quickly, and incorporates it into his convincing. So mentioning how her position would be incredibly high up (higher than Flames) and how he thinks she would fit perfectly due to her protective nature (not destructive, not something to be ashamed of like Mane was), how she's clearly a valuable person, not because of her strength but because of how quickly she learns (complimenting the traits that most people ignore in favor of the obvious ones).

It works, and she ends up joining as his newly found bodyguard. Her identity though, is kept a secret from pretty much everyone. Most people don't even know she exists. Ash knows obviously, Minute knows she exists but not who she is, Squiddo knows all, Egg sort of knows, but he's hanging out in a little cabin within mafia territory (under their protection), and Spoke eventually finds out about her the hard way, but not her identity. (Covering all my bases)

In the end though, this is a giant (overdramatic) plot to ultimately romance the hot purple (his color!!!) lady who can kick ass. So in the downtime they have, Ash keeps up the flirting, giving her gifts, initiating random cuddle sessions, and at some point things evolve into more intimate moments. Make no mistake though! Squiddo is absolutely giving hella advice behind the scenes, initiating their own cuddle sessions, and encouraging all the flirting and gifts. SquidSwagg are married and want a third in the form of one mace-wielding princess!!

Wemmbu falls surprisingly fast, but it's probably because none of her previous love interests were particularly... nice in their "romance attempts". She doesn't even have to fight much, only shooing off the occasional attempt on Ash's life, so she's able to just enjoy it all.

Until, of course, the resistance to take down the mafia. Plot armor dictates that the mafia still falls in the end, but it would definitely be a harder win to take since not only is Wemmbu not there to help, but she's actively opposing them as a mafia member. Maybe there's some side plot with Mane and Flame and they end up helping the resistance or something? To even the scales. Flame turns on the mafia to help his brother in the end and they make up quicker in this timeline.

Wemmbu absolutely gets a dramatic reveal (of her own accord) and kicks a lot of ass before things go down. I just haven't decided if she goes out on her own after, or if she sticks with Ash and joins him in his exile.

I'm leaning towards joining him in exile because it would be cute for them to essentially retire together, but also when the next big enemy shows up (probably Law still), it would invite a very awesome dramatic scene where Parrot realizes the only way to truly fight the biggest threat on the server, is to turn yesterday's enemies into today's allies.

(slightly backtracking, but I've always headcannoned Squiddo as someone who doesn't have sex, but is all for watching it happen, which if you've seen my ask from meda's blog, you'll know what I mean. So Squiddo is definitely there and involved, just not quite as in the forefront of the action as Ash and Wemmbu.)
