maybe eddie gets flirted with HARD out on a call and when they get back hen and chim are teasing him about it, until buck casually goes “i mean it makes sense, eddies hot!” and buck wants to take it back as soon as he says it, “i mean i uh- like its a no brainer you know, eddie dude youre objectively pret-i mean handsome and uhm- ya know chim called you a beautiful man!” but eddie does nottt care because he cant get the smirk off his face over buck calling him hot

honestly, i totally could, these morons are just about dramatic enough to pull it off. i can just picture them in the middle of the station, arguing about...whatever, maybe eddie was kinda trying to keep his distance from buck after realizing his feelings bc he can't deal right now, and buck notices him pulling away and is frustrated by it and things come to a head in the station one day, and eddie ends up blurting out the dramatic 'because i love you!' line, and the station just. goes dead silent. and buck is frozen to the ground. and eddie blinks a couple of times and goes like '...i just said that out loud, didn't i?'
and buck is like, 'yes. yes you did.'
eddie is like, 'cool cool cool cool.' and looks for a window to jump out of.
the rest of the station is just watching like:

Ok, i know i'm being needlessly petty here, but i love that when the gifs of that gifset of Eddie saying Buck's name don't load straight away, you can clearly see that that "sleepy smile" towards Ana EddieA*a shippers were gushing over literally isn't real. He only starts actually smiing as he locks eyes with Buck 🤷🏼♀️
sjskdkdd i didn't even know that was a thing they were gushing about tho? 😭 i mean there is a split second when he looks up at her but after that all his focus is on buck and she literally steps out of the way so that they can have their moment™. very iconic of the show to do this really
