Each block is a story idea.  CN is just the codename for the story that I use.  This is sort of like showing you sketches of a picture; they're writing sketches.  :>  I'm still working out some of the ideas though.  Here's the link to the Google Doc that'll be updated when updates are put in.

CN//Demoness + Witch/2 Modern fantasy.  Main character is normal living in normal world until one day when an unknown magical force takes over the world in search of the reincarnation of its nemesis.  Then MC’s powers are activated and she is a witch and the reincarnation, supposed to defeat the millennia old being (which is corrupted beyond redemption) to save the world or some such shit.  MC is scared at first (after all, she’s only just barely 17 or 18 or something), and she runs away from home on her new weapon (shackle crystal thing <have to find a new weapon thing if I use this too much more in other stories> that turns in a guisarme).  After trying to escape the destruction that follows in her wake she ends up getting the knowledge necessary (spiritual visitation/remembers past life(s)/mentor?) to defeat big bad and does so?  Maybe.  Maybe strands them both in alternate dimension.  Maybe kills them both.  What would happen after?  Are there other mages? CN//Sci-Fi Paladin Sci-fi.  Century in the future.  World more or less at peace, very few nations, all in one league of nations or something.  Rebels come to tear it apart, take over towns and draft young people in it.  Rebels are in control in the setting.  Main character hates war.  In line with LoN, during a battle her high school was conscripted in she tries to protect her friends but fails?  Uses a shield (names it Spatha?) that’s actually a piece torn off of a battle ship’s side (airship; very lightweight future metal but extremely durable and almost impossible to break when in one whole; a whole is hard to make so most ships are made from many car sized pieces stuck together and reinforced with something earth and strong but also light).  Bludgeons people to death with Spatha, also shields allies and self from laser beams and bullets with it.  MC is badass.  Possibly latina, definitely has Italian and Irish ancestry.  Keeps a little paper with a child’s drawing of a heart inside her helmet so she never forgets ‘where her heart lies’. CN//Best Host a Parasite Could Want Some kind of paranormal slice of life?  Lazy 20-year-old college dropout guy, would most rather play videogames all day at home but needs job to support his lifestyle.  Has bad luck.  Works at a GameStop type place (Game Place?).  Recently dumped by girlfriend after losing job.  Only dated him for his discount card (also a gamer).  Fights anxiety and depression.  Trips and hits head, when he wakes up he can see his demon (everyone has a guardian angel and a demon, like the angel and devil on your shoulders thing).  His demon is one of Avarice/Sloth.  She has little horns that barely poke out of her curly hair and is too busy sleeping to really exert any influence over him.  They share a connection that makes him feel tired when she’s tired; etc.  He has no guardian angel.  She is shunned by other demons.  Might be in love with guy?  Has no name so he names her Ava (after avarice).  In the end it turns out she’s half demon half angel, some sort of fluke or something, but that’s why he doesn’t have an angel.  The cosmic powers that be decided that she doesn’t need to be eliminated because she’s a demon of avarice and will therefore never amount to anything. CN//Imagine Jack Black As The Father Some subset of Dram.  A mooching, emotionally dependent, ungrateful loser/Nice Guy is dumped by his girlfriend when he’s out getting some junk food (plus some cigarettes for himself because ‘he deserved it for going out to get food’).  She’s had enough of his shit and hates him.  His part in the relationship was a weird worship of her (unconsciously thought of her as his).  She was the breadwinner.  Set in New York? No, Seattle (rainy).  She leaves to go to her hometown to get away from him (Chicago?).  Seventeen years later, he’s reformed since then and has become a genuinely good guy, is an accountant for large company (sporting goods chain?  Manufacturer? A publishing company), and is about at a stage with his current girlfriend (whom he treats like a goddess and is a good woman) where he’s planning to propose at some point soon.  As soon as he finds the perfect ring (his excuse for not having the guts to do so).  Anyway, his life is on the up-and-up, he’s got a nice apartment, he’s got a feeling he’s about to get that raise he’s wanted, he’s nearly sixteen years sober.  Then he gets a call from his ex-girlfriend’s sister, saying that ex-girlfriend is dead (liver failure? alcohol poisoning?) and he’s got a daughter that needs to be taken care of.  Ex was kind of a bitch, so nobody in the family wants to take of the daughter.  Guy takes her in and tries to get to know her but daughter is moody and refuses to be vulnerable.  She does her best to not be in the house and doesn’t eat any food she didn’t buy herself, gets a job at some fast food place.  Some kind of heart warming set of events happens and they warm up to each other and they grow a father/daughter bond.  Throughout this, his current girlfriend is supportive and tries to make the daughter feel welcome but grapples with thoughts of what his current daughter could mean for their future together (she’s thinking of proposing too).  Current girlfriend is a lovely woman, smart strong and motivated, works as a researcher. CN//Witch Whose Hat Falls Off Paranormal.  In a world where witches exist and are known to exist.  All witches have some innate power not related to their skill at using magic, or anything really (i.e. seeing the future, being able to set things on fire with a snap of your finger, seeing spirits with no effort, communicate with inanimate objects, communicate with animals, etc).  Main character (Jessica; communication with plants) is from an old family of witches but is a ‘Sleeping Magi’, which means she can’t use magic.  Makes her sort of like an emotionless robot, is colorblind, and is perfectly content to stay that way.  Lives in an old family mansion type house with her grandmother (sees future), mother (?), Mr. Old Guy Sir (can replenish energy at the expense of his own), and Alex (full name Alejandro, can see spirits without casting a spell or anything).  House is a place where lots of people come and go, sort of a boarding house/inn for witches.  House is in a small forest, has a hundred year old willow tree (Jessica’s best friend).  Jessica is home schooled.  Doesn’t know her father.  Some kind of magical sickness comes and she is chosen to go get the antidote from a shaman somewhere within flying distance because she isn’t sick (due to not having magic) and isn’t need to take care of the sick.  Brooms are enchanted objects that can be flown by anyone, doesn’t need magic.  Shaman is her dad?  Mr. Old Guy Sir dies?  Gets home with antidote in time to save Grandmother, Mother, and Alex.
