Okokokokokokokok......so @tempest-tides-game owns my whole ass and the last picture they posted of Asante just made me so softeâąïž. So obviously (and since i havenât drawn BĂ©bbinâs bust picture yet) i had to make a slightly angsty but absolutely fluffy scenario.
DISCLAIMER: I HAVE NO IDEA HOW THE ACTUAL GAME WILL GO!!!!THIS IS JUST A SCENARIO/HEADCANNON SO DO NOT COME FOR ME....ok thank you sooooo muchđ
Asante will be represented by an âAâ and BĂ©bbin will be âBâ (...duh...). This font will be setting and physicality (?).
Asanteâs quarters. After a fire broke out at a local tavern caused by some people who wanted to run the pirates out of their town, BĂ©bbin notices Mel was not with them. Stopping in her tracks and running towards the burning building, BĂ©bbin was able to get both her and Mel safely but not without new scars.
A: (Sits quietly next to BĂ©bbin, bandaging her shoulder that got badly burned, he listens to her slight hiss at the pain she feels as he applies the healing salve, he breaks the silence with a faint helpless voice) ...I thought Iâd lost you...
B: (Focused on looking at the floor biting her lip to distract her from her searing pain she feels as Asante mends her shoulder, is snapped back to herself as she hears him speak) What?
A: I thought Iâd lost you... (Picks up gauze and begins to wrap her wound) ...you and Mel...the fire broke out and everyone was told to evacuate... (Regret and guilt infiltrate his tone) ...you noticed before I did that Mel wasnât with us. (He finishes his wrapping as his eyes begin to water at the unimaginable). I was looking around and saw Kiernan with Saafi so I just assumed she had Mel too, and when Saafi asked where Mel was thatâs when I noticed you were already halfway into the building.... (He falls silent contemplating what could have been and thanking every deity he knew for the persevation of the loves of his life, he feels BĂ©bbinâs stare and makes eye contacts).
B: (The pain is dulling away as her expression softens with a mix of understanding and restrained determination) ...and I would do it all over again, for Mel, for Saafi, ...for you (she turns her body fully facing him, cupping Asanteâs cheek and wiping away the tears in the corner of his eye) Asante; you and Mel and Saafi, youâve all changed my life in such a short amount of time... (She lets her hand fall, gracing his chest and landing in his hands; Asante closes his grip on her hand and BĂ©bbin holds his firmly, squeezing them, reassuring him. She leans in placing her forehead against his, she feels his shudder as he realeases all his built up tension; she hears him sniffle) ..my life , it was all lived for me , for my selfish gain and what i wanted to do ; in theory it worked for a while, being away from my family, having my own voice...but then I found myself not knowing what to do next (She separates from Asante looking into his eyes again, she releases her grip from his hands and places it back on his face and this time he closes his eyes and leans into her touch) If it werenât for the cubs I would, quite literally, not be here right now. They led me away from my persecutors, they led me to the Vashani, they led me to you. I owe them more than they will ever know....donât tell them that though, theyâll be blackmailing me for sweets until the end of time.
A: (A small chuckle eminates from him as he relishes in his loverâs touch; he opens his eyes and parts from BĂ©bbinâs hand only to capture it within his hand again, intertwining his fingers with hers directing himself to kiss her hand gently) They got into so much trouble for that... (The smile fades as memories from those dayâs events flood back into mind) I felt so helpless...Kiernan was holding Saafi back and Mateo and Oliver had to hold me back, saying how they couldnât loose anyone else...they had already counted you for dead (he chuckles at the next memory , rubbing circles on your hand with his thumb) the last thing anyone expected was to see you crashing through one of the windows barrel rolling with Mel in your arms.
B: (She laughs) Then everyone was on me trying to put out my dress; they almost left me naked out there (She laughs again, getting Asante to laugh too) Iâm glad you were able to check on Mel first though. How is he by the way?
A: (Asante looks at her with a smile in his face, tired) Heâs alright, a bit shaken of course; physically heâs perfect, no scratch or burns, he was more concerned for you. It took me a good ten minutes to stop him from crying and assuring him that Papa was going to give you a thorough checkup (He notices her eyes well up, BĂ©bbin closes them and chuckles to herself as tears flow freely. Asante cups her face with both his hands, kissing away the tears as they fall, itâs been a very emotional day for them).
B: (Through her laughter and tears sheâs able to compose herself enough to stop Asanteâs onslaught of kisses and reciprocates with a kiss of her own in return. The kiss goes a bit deeper than intended and leaves them both slightly breathless; they part, a smile gracing her lips as she wipes away a the trail of moisture left by her tears) Heâs a sweet boy. Heâs so lucky to have such a doted Papa like you. (She reaches out to tuck one lone dread away from his face and behind his ear, noting a weary smile hiding things, thoughts) Asante? Whatâs in that brain of your love?
A: (How does she know? He stares at her in mild amusement) You say Iâm a doted father...i didnât feel like that today, I wasnât... (BĂ©bbin stops him with a sound that closely resembled a Gatling gun).
B: No, absolutely not Asante, donât you dare say that you arenât a good father. You are a great father, one incident does not tarnish this spotless record you have with your children (She feels slightly crazed, bewildered).
A: (He looks at her from looking at his hands and lap for some time know) It was an incident that couldâve cost Mel his life, how can you sit here and not think that I didnât do right by him!! ( The guilt he was trying to shove into the recesses of his mind comes back, full force on him and physically weighs him down).
B: Because it was ONE incident (she puts her index finger in front of him symbolizing the one) And thank the heavens that it didnât lead to the loss of any life. (Her fingers rake through his hair, resting in the nape of his neck positioning him in such a way that his gaze will not depart from hers) Asante, you are just one man taking care of two children marvelously, two children who adore you. Mel will not hold a grudge against you over one mistake if he even had a grudge to begin with. Saafi and Mel love you Asante, both of them are your hearts work, you are what many men would hope to be as a father, and what many men arenât even capable of becoming as human beings. You make them better, you make me better just by being around you. So donât you ever say that you arenât good enough, or unworthy, or undeserving or whatever it is that is rattling in that head of your. The Vashani loves you, I love you, but most importantly Mel and Saafi love you...(thereâs a pause, Asante looks at her with every emotion he can muster, grateful. BĂ©bbin wraps her arms around his neck as he instinctively reciprocated by fully enveloping her waist in his arms, both of them resting their chins on each other shoulders, they melt into each other, the dayâs events becoming a distant memory).
A: (He takes in her sent, sprinkling kisses here and there as Bébbin massages his scalp earning a deep sigh mixed with a slight moan) Thank you.
