I’ve been working on my digital painting, and in the past week or so I’ve learned a lot about value studies and working with the various layer types in Photoshop. The top image is the retouched Captain Marvel piece some time back, with the middle being the original color version I first did, and the final one, the grayscale that I converted to color. The top image is much, much closer to what I originally envisioned the colors to look like when I sat down to paint it, but lacked the understanding to execute it. I’ve been enjoying the learning experience and hope to continue to grow and improve with my digital art. I promise I’ll have new art soon, but it’s been fun revisiting these old pieces this week!
