there are two things i cannot tolerate art-wise
first is mocking someone because of their art style. i have 0 idea what that rcdart person did to piss everyone off, their art looks quite ok (not my thing but technically? ok) and frankly i feel like people are behaving like dipshits while whining about them. “oh noez this person draws x not like i’d want them to” give them meaningful critique and get fucked. even if they deny your critique, swallow it up and chill because in this case it’s their fucking loss, not yours. also, sometimes people still learn. like, shit, i can’t draw black people for shit since i have 0 real life reference anywhere but i try my fucking best. it takes time to learn. art is deeply ingrained in people, people can’t change their art just-like-that. give advice, help them out if they are willing to. give them time.
don’t mock people. stop making people feel suicidal over what they pour their hearts out for (bc we all know this shit happened on this hellsite). if they are piece of shits - ignore them. simple.
other is begging for reblogs. stop fucking guilt-tripping people, stop moaning and up your game or wait for publique to amass as you do what you love. it’s people who decide what goes on their blog and dashes, not you. it’s your task to do something to attract audience. otherwise you’re no better than a company bemoaning that “oh no millenials destroy X thing”. up your marketing game, improve, get better, attract.

Question to people who do stuff with ink. Whenever I read reviews of Drawing Pens people always praise Sakura Micron ink. And yet whenever I use eraser on lined sketch that very ink just gets OBLITERATED and I have to retrace entire picture. (Which is also why I switched to other pens.) So I ask - wtf???
