It's interesting how any inconsistencies in the pattern are amplified as it grows. An almost imperceptible discrepancy in the first ring of circles becomes a vast gap after several iterations. It is reminiscent of the quantum clustering in the microwave background radiation which eventually led to stars, planets and all other celestial bodies.
