I had the unique experience of visiting @studio_be_ during #EssenceFest. This studio features the moving work of BMike, a New Orleans-based visual artist who creates art about resistance. “You are still here” was a reminder for me that even on my worst days, I’m still here. Was a great day yesterday talking with the young royalty of at @fickettes Elementary. They have a grand culture there and It's gonna be dope to help beautify their atmosphere. A couple of folks you don't see, still made an appearance like Brothas @goldigold45 and @awtheartist. and @phyllis.iller was out there taking pics and teaching children.
