The Dancer : Love, War, Culture.
Sang Penari (The Dancer) was filmed on March 2011. All set located in Purwokerto, Banyumas, and Tegal. Most of scene took place on poor village called Dukuh Paruk. (http://sangpenari.com) We must adapt whole property and set to 1950-1960s. We thought that it's hard to find those property in small city, but for them to throw old things it's not their habit. We can find some old things from door to door. Usually we can rent it or borrow.

Sang Penari a story that contain marriage,

The kitchen. Simple, clay, bamboo, very primitive.
Office. 1965. Old properties such as typewriter, telephone, papers, etc.
We can't find any map of Banyumas that looks old (never I think), so we design and print out. But it looks new, we gave some liquid like tea, and then we dry it until it looks old.

Umbrella made by paper and bamboo. We have to order first. Javanese usually use it for ceremony.

This movie tells story about soldiers, and other people who is travelling. Many vehicle was needed. Most important is must an old vehicles. This kind of property that hard to find. Even we can find them, the condition is damaged and had modification.
