How can you be 100% sure?

Did you make the post?

If the answer to these are no, how can you be 100% sure that is what they meant?

You shouldn't say you 100% know unless they straight up said that themselves.

They are not here to defend themselves, words are being put into their mouth.

I am not putting words in OP’s mouth. I am examining the words that they gave us and coming to a conclusion about the content they posted publicly.

That post, as it was written, implies that Cherry played a part in the exploitation of minors by knowing what was going on but doing nothing about it (”they were also in that camp camp server seeing that the nsfw chat was open to minors”), and suggesting that they were lying in the aftermath to cover their ass and protect their image (”likes looking innocent”//”good luck getting out of that one”). Whether or not that was the INTENTION, does not matter, because that is what is being said. 

If I make a post saying - and this is literally the first thing that comes to mind because I was talking about this phenomena with a friend the other night - If I make a post that says “kill all men,” that is DIRECTLY harmful to trans men, feminine men, feminist men, and disabled men. Really, my INTENTION could very well have been “kill all (Cishet) men” but that doesn’t change the fact that the post that I made PUBLICLY was DIRECTLY HARMFUL to marginalized men. Of course, “kill all cishet men” is still a bad statement, but the point is that my intent does not matter compared to the content I actually put out. My posthumous revealing of intention doesn’t fix the damage I’ve done.

That post is calling Cherry complicit in Alyssa’s actions, which would make them a predator. Full stop. And it’s wrong.

Because even after Cherry recovered from their initial shock as a victim of similar trauma and made a public statement condemning Alyssa’s actions and saying that they had no knowledge of what had been happening, “whether Cherry was okay with it or not can only be said by Cherry” apparently wasn’t good enough for OP and they continued to publicly perpetuate the idea, with no proof, that Cherry had a hand in the exploitation of minors and is lying about their situation to save face. 

If you are willing to acknowledge that OP was wrong to make baseless accusations, then you need to be willing to acknowledge the damage it did, and how several members of the community are now using a TW for Cherry’s name and severing ties with them because of the unsubstantiated claims made by OP, because they are now seen as complicit in Boob’s actions.

To accuse someone of being aware that minors were being exposed to nsfw content and that they knew that their friend was grooming kids this way, actively implies that they knew, and were allowing this behavior to happen, which is predatory. 

Even by your own definition, if Cherry had known what was going on and was allowing it to happen and actively supporting/covering up the sexual abuse of minors, that would have made them a part of the “group” that was exploiting others. 

You can maybe make an argument that the post AT BEST was only accusing Cherry of supporting Alyssa’s actions and didn’t MEAN to imply they were engaging in predatory behavior as well, but that doesn’t change the fact that what OP was accusing Cherry of is still predatory.
