I'm back
Thank you for being patient, and thank you for saying take my time @artlynick .
Now... I'll probably post the New Year fics later, so thank you all again.
artlynick replied to your post: i really dislike art tutorial posts that outright...
I am with vattallini on this. I adore their art and I KNOW she is right despite the fact I don’t always follow the classic ways. You have to study art and classics to became something bigger or better. There are no way you can bypass this.
(i didn’t reblog her response because i don’t like long posts SORRY) yeh @vattallini is super knowledged in this stuff!! it’s totally true you need to know the basics before you can tweak it, so know correct human anatomy before drawing wonky cartoony style, because otherwise it’ll just kind of show that you don’t know yet what the hell you’re doing -- but i don’t take art so seriously, i’m not really an artist but just some bum from a ditch who doodles fictional characters for her own entertainment, and not being so into it all is also okay. a lot of tutorials make art seem so serious and are guilt tripping people for not drawing realistic noses or mouths or whatever and i call it bullshit. my own artistic goals lie completely elsewhere, i want to create things that please my own eye.
