I recently finished a lockdown walking project, inspired by Tom Phillips ‘20 Sites n Years’ (20 locations in a 1-mile circle in London, photographed annually since 1973), and Richard Long. Using Google My Maps, I drew large circles centred on my home in north-west Brighton – 1km, 1 miles, 2 miles and 4km in diameter. I then tried to walk them as closely as possible, using public rights of way and suburban streets, taking note and photos of interesting things along the way.
