I feel so bad for people who are in really unhealthy relationship's and they're stuck between wanting to stay or if they should leave, but they still hope thing's will get better so they just put on a mask to appear like they're happy and like their relationship is healthy when really behind closed doors it's the complete opposite.
You can only play a role for so long before the character breaks and the mask falls to pieces.
That's no way to live, eventually the foundation will collapse because no one can build a life together with artificial bricks.
I say this because I, too, have been in a really unhealthy relationship before. I wasn't sure whether to stay or leave and I wasted almost 6 yrs with them.
If you ask me, freeing yourself from a bad situation is far more important than damaging your mental health or risk making it worse than it already may be.
If you love yourself, you'll choose to free yourself.
That's what's important. I chose to free myself and the universe rewarded me with someone better and I've never been so happy in my life.
