Harry Potter, Ron and Hermione in Hogsmeade, the wizard village in Scotland next to Hogwarts castle. I love the thick snow in these scenes in the third film but always thought the characters were quite underdressed for the weather This is my fan edit dressing them up in something more appropriate ;) - - - - - Imagine, when Harry Potter found out he had lots of money in Gringotts bank he wanted to get rid of all of the Dursley rags and leftovers from his cousin and start wearing his own clothes from now on. With his new freedom and money he wanted a better and more luxurious coat than Dudley ever had, and what better than an Arctic Army Puffer to keep him warm in the snowy Scotland winters. 
It arrived in the Owl post one morning, carried in a box by 4 Owls and landed with a crash on the table. Ron wanted to know what was in the big parcel but Harry wanted to open it in private first… his heart racing with excitement. So he wasted no time and ran up to the Griffindor dormitory leaving his friends behind puzzled. 
When he unpacked it alone in Gryffindor Tower his eyes dilated as the huge fur hood slide out the inner bag, it was the biggest most beautiful fur trim he had ever seen. None of the girls at the school even had one close to this. He put it on and checked himself in the mirror. ‘This is so Awesome’ he thought to himself, turning round and looking over his shoulder to try see it form the back ‘I’ve got the best jacket I the whole school!’ The hood trim was so massive it covered his ears already without the hood even being up. His eyes only just peeping over the edge in his reflection. But some muggle boys will have the same coat too, Harry thought, and he wondered if he could make his even better with a bit of magic… He took out his wand and took of the jacket and put it on the bed, the hood facing him. 
‘Engorgio!’ Harry commanded, waving his wand closely over the fur trim. The raccoon fur, already as big in diameter as the padded sleeves, swelled and surged, inflating and thickening up like a long party balloon being blown up. It was almost the size of his bed pillows now. Harry gasped in awe at it. If anyone asked he would say it was like this out the box, he thought to himself. Now when he put it on and zipped up the front the fur trim came together up over the level of his eyebrows, the crown of his head only pocking out the top. From behind you could hardly see the hood material itself. 
Ron saw the coat first that evening, his jaw dropping at it when Harry pretended to unpack it. He sniggered a bit at first at the ridiculous size, but then looked over as his own handdown fleece on the hook with a look of disappointment. ‘I’ll get you something’ said Harry ‘We can’t wear the same thing…that would be weird Harry’ said Ron, his eyes wandering round the room. ‘…Does the shop sell hats like that?’ He said after a pause. 
Harry thought about what he had seen online while doing his research on his laptop back in Surry. ‘I’ll have a look’ Harry said, but he already had in mind which hat to get Ron. ‘I’ll find something for Hermione too…’ ‘Yea like a green parka’ said Ron ‘that would look nice on her’ ‘Ok, I’ll surprise her with it on the first day it snows, it will take a couple weeks to arrive’ ‘Thanks Harry you are the best’ said Ron grinning. ‘Malfoy will be so jealous, can you imagine; he will probably get his father to buy him something to try and upstage you.’
