Something that's not in the doc is that they're are addictive. Their touch, their feeding process, their presence makes others feel so comfortable around them that they want to be more and can create a dependency issue if they will it. Luckily, their mind and emotional manipulation powers allows them to prevent having others around them without their full will to be. But they like to keep it with them enjoying it. Like the best of wines, or chocolates, or favorite flavour

Regardless of their immortality, they can have children and this don't have to manifest the curse. And as a matter of fact, never did in the past those who they birthed. If they manifested something related to powers, it was never connected to their vampiric or werewolf traits.
