I was surprised two days ago when I forgot I left some petri dishes with some fungi cultures lying somewhere in the lab, when I got around to checking them, they were already getting out of the dishes, and were actually getting out of the case.

Looks like I have a new friend!

[Heavy Ramble Incoming]

I'm having some serious problems in the campus, political unrest in my country is reaching a climax and people are starting to move out and organizing to oppose the government, but how does that affect me and the university?, well, for one I work there, and the syndicate of workers is going on strike, which means no classes, no lectures, and no job for as long as the strike lasts, not to mention the campus was taken by students many times over the last weeks, and I foresee things will only get worse as more high profile colleges in my country are starting to cease activities as protest to the current situation my country is in.

Personally, I'm in the middle point, while I support many pacific movements to achieve a common goal, and I'm not new to being bloody red, I'm against making it so people lose their job and studies in the process, and believe me, I know both sides.

Meanwhile I'm continuing academic activities wherever and whenever I can, and I'm still identifying insects and plants from the last sampling trip, so work will chase after me, even if I'm not really looking for it anyway, just the place changes, be it home, the lab, or a classroom.

And the pay-off of course, food will find a way to my table, even if I have to work as an english teacher..., heh, a biologist teaching english...

Which leads me to my last point, OH GAWDS I WANT TO DRAW MORE SUNSET, I can't draw anything, be it because of time or tiredness, or general helplessness at the situation...

I just want a break... you all deserve better...

I had a little time to draw something for this amazing person, I'm sorry it's not as good as what he did for me, but I hope he likes it nonetheless.

I've had a blast with him since I started this blog, and him turning one year older is JOY.

Been some time since I did something.

But all I could do was Sunset.

After a good amount of time and effort I can finally finish something... too bad it lacks any kind of sense, otherwise it would be too good for this world.

Oh well, but who am I to ramble?

This is a day of party, the final day of the year, and my skills may not have grown in any way this year, but I can at least boast that I have really good friends that have come to understand my incredibly long times of going missing and my constant excuses for not doing anything productive besides sitting in a chair reading boring scientific articles all day.

Again with the rambles am I?
