Hi fellow artists and fans of artists! 

I’m Talhí, a Canadian who really wants to see the US get better. Last American midterm I did #ArtForVotes, where my followers could send me a pic of their “I voted” sticker, or any other proof of having voted (never the ballot!), and I would sketch their request.

If you’re an artist that wants to help get the vote out, here’s how you can do it:

Use the hashtag #ArtForVotes in all your social media

If you take requests make sure to establish your boundaries, favorite fandoms, the things you want to draw and won’t draw. 

To make sure people don’t abuse your good will, you can request a picture of their “I voted” sticker. 

Don’t push yourself too hard on the art, sometimes a sketch is enough :D It’s a gift, an incentive, not a commission!

You don’t even have to draw individual requests! This year, I’m drawing an exclusive postcard that I will send to each eligible person. If you don’t want to spend money, you can also make art and send the jpg only to your followers who voted. 

Also, this is not limited to illustrations! If you want to participate and you do anything else, go ahead and use the hashtag!

I didn’t expect stamps to be this expensive! I really wanted to send a postcard to voters, or do requests again, but it seems I have not the money or energy to do it. 

...It took them a couple of tries to get this kissing thing right.

I’ll see how I feel, health wise, on monday, because it’s a lot of work, but hey, democracy is important. (Also I don’t remember if we get proof of voting here? americans get the little ‘i voted’ sticker but I can’t remember if we do that too.)
