National Cancer Awareness Day
On this 7th of November, observed as National Cancer Awareness Day, we had the honor of hosting distinguished guests. Our Chairman, Sri Nandamuri Balakrishna, our CEO, Dr. R V Prabhakara Rao, and our Medical Superintendent, Dr. K Phani Koteswarara Rao, joined us. They visited the awareness stalls and engaged with the students, who passionately explained their creations.
Art for Education: Under the expert guidance of Dr. K. Kalpana Raghunath, our Associate Director for Academics and Cancer Screening Camps, the dedicated students of the Indo-American College of Nursing orchestrated an inspiring initiative. They organized cancer awareness stalls, where they used art as a powerful educational tool to explain the complexities of cancer. These visuals cover everything from signs and symptoms to causes, risk factors, and prevention tips.
Simplified Understanding: In a world filled with complexity, these young minds employed artistic techniques, such as drawings and thermocol craftworks, to break down intricate information into easily digestible bits. The power of visual learning lies in its ability to simplify the understanding of cancer, offering a clear and accessible path to essential knowledge.
A Testament to Our Dedication: This initiative stands as a testament to our unwavering commitment to raising awareness, not only about cancer but also about the strength that knowledge brings to patients and their attenders. Together, we work towards a future where cancer is not just a word but a battle that can be fought and won.

I just posted this image but...When my friend @marcasnin calls me, it’s always a good thing. We always talk about our kids, photography and living. He’s the ultimate mensch—always doing and bringing good. 259 photographs are being sold to benefit NYC SALT a photographic educational program that creates a family and pathway for first-generation college students to navigate thinking of work as a vocation and to change a cycle of poverty in their families. Go to www.printsbysalt.com and be sure to see one of my favorite images of all time by Marc. Rembrandt would love it. So many images to@choose from! #buyarthelpkids #collectforcollege #printsbysalt #artforeducation #keepthedoorsopen https://www.instagram.com/p/CAXnbttJNTA/?igshid=13y5hdthk0ubv
