Beauty comes in a spectrum in the matter of art’s uniqueness. Although others perceive beauty on the superficial, art proves that beauty flows richly from the inside. It takes some time for people to acknowledge the beauty of art’s uniqueness. In other cases, it takes a special hurting or happiness to see the bare-faced beauty of art. An art’s uniqueness is where the beauty of humanity sprouts freely. Its power exposes the glory that is the humans. Aside from that, art allows your soul to relish in the feelings you have constrained over the years. Now, you may wonder what’s the beauty in that. What Is the Beauty of Art’s Uniqueness? The depths of beauty is not at all shallow. Usually, people associate beauty with anything that pleases our senses. A strong imposition on that thought often leads others to disregard the inner beauty of art. But, what really is in the inner beauty of art that people consider it as such? In most oeuvres, if not all, there is an inspiration that made its creation possible. These inspirations come from experiences, unexpressed thoughts and emotions, and far-fetched dreams. Masterpieces are not merely created to display the skills of an artist. Aside from skill, an artist puts a part of himself/herself in the work. It is as if a part of an artist’s soul resides in his/her work. The feelings that an artist pours in his/her works often create a more intense or dramatic response from others. This is especially when a listener or viewer strongly relates to the meaning of the work. Although these responses come in various interpretations, they somehow reach a common point. The degrees of feelings may differ. But, there are also others who interpret an artwork very differently from what an artist intends to. This is the beauty of art’s uniqueness. Despite all the differences among people, art connects them through expressing the universality of human vulnerabilities. The beauty in art isn’t simply skin deep. It’s something that naturally weaves in our existence. Art Enables Us to Relate to Others Ever looked at or listen to an art piece and just break down? Despite not seeing or knowing the artist, you just have this feeling that the artist clearly expressed what you can’t even put into words. This actually explains why we resort to listening to songs that speak for our griefs, happiness, or gratitude. Or, read poems or watch paintings and then feel our emotions to the extremes. Art’s uniqueness grants us the chance to express what we have long suppressed and thereby purges negative emotions. There’s no denying the effective therapy that is art. Just because some works of art do not strongly appeal to our senses, it doesn’t mean they’re not a product of beauty. Beauty is not something that runs skin deep only.
