The path to my becoming an OTR expert began with this syndicated series, When Radio Was hosted by Art Fleming.

When Radio Was introduced me to the Jack Benny Program, Bob and Ray, the Six Shooter, the Mel Blanc Show, the Stan Freberg Show and many others.

It used to come in every night on my clock radio, heavy with static, fading in and out at key moments.

It’s interesting how an artist sometimes severely views a piece of their own work. Even more interesting when that same piece of work that fell under their critical eye becomes extremely popular.
