      “ so ------ hear me out.  y’ can’t even begin to fathom how actually important this is, alright ? ” there’s a delightful crook of sarcasm that creases her voice at sporadic intervals, a cheeky grin shirks through her initial guise of banal boredom & it begins to scrunch her mien into something predatory at the company that situated themselves near her. the cat with its maw hinged on a plumage of feathers. something playful, something fierce. she’s been real lonely lately.

She had been searching for a flower shop in the city — not so much for decorating her own room, really, but more so to offer them to the little kittens she will be meeting in the near future. After all, she was a firm believer of showering princesses with only the finest roses. Emphasis on had though, because Kaoru pretty much lost all hope on trying to locate it on her own at this point. She didn’t quite like the role of being the damsel in distress, but she supposed some things simply cannot be helped. 

Luckily for her, though, there was someone who was very conveniently seated along the walkway; and he didn’t appear to be in a rush too. Surely he would be nice enough to aid her? ❝ Young one. ❞ The stranger didn’t seem much younger than her, though, but as if something like that is going to stop her from referring to him as such. ❝ Do you know of a flower shop around here? ❞ 

unfamiliar places don’t bother ranpo, not too much. as he is the epitome of curiosity, learning about his surroundings in the only way anyone could -- which is to say, looking through everything like a cat. there’s currently no one home, which only bodes useful for him in terms of invading his new roommate’s room and rifling through their papers, their books, before making his way to the living room couch with some interesting items in hand.

dong minseok... korean? well, that’ll be fun.

artist from the obvious looks of it, mediocre taste in books. ranpo hums, flipping through a few pages, glasses resting low on his nose as he hears the door behind him -- the entrance -- open. he lifts his head, turning to lift an arm up in a wave.

“dong minseok-ah, nice to meet you~! what a lucky day it is for you, i’m your new roommate!”
