The way their thighs had pressed together as they watched a movie in their apartment, laughing and sharing popcorn.

The way Thea's hand had clutched at nothing as Oliver had kissed her until she'd slung her leg over his and straddled him on the couch, grinding against him. Movie forgotten.

Hours after the fight, Nyssa walks in on two naked bodies, curled comfortably in each other's embrace.

Oliver wakes first, although Thea is quick to follow.

"You are too accustomed to this life," Nyssa warns. She gestures between them, as if there is anything truly between them.

"It's our life," Thea growls, hackles rising, and Nyssa chuckles.

Nyssa's expression gentles and her smile is bittersweet. "You misunderstand."

"What do we misunderstand?" Oliver grits out. For all his bravado, his arm holds his sister close for fear of losing her.

"You believe I am the threat," Nyssa answers easily, "but I am here to protect you."

"Protect us?" Thea asks, with genuine confusion.

Nyssa's smile turns sharp. "Yes," she says. "From Ra's al Ghul."

"Malcolm Merlyn isn't a threat," Oliver tells her, but Nyssa can practically hear him thinking.

Nyssa only stares. "Fine. I'm certain he has no problem with the man defiling his daughter."

"Does he know?" Oliver asks, and now he has wrenched himself from the bed.

Nyssa's gaze never moves from his face.

"Did you tell him?"

Nyssa shrugs. "There isn't much that escapes the notice of Ra's al Ghul," she answers cryptically. "Perhaps you should."

Before Thea can pounce, Nyssa is gone, leaving Thea and Oliver tense and restless.
