Character meme: Quentin Lance ;)
A competent good cop, who has a firm set of beliefs. In many aspects he tried to do the same as the Arrow, but within the law. Eventually realized that in the city like Starling you someone have to step outside that law to find the justice. Despite certain issue a good father to Laurel and Sara. And probably also a good husband to Dinah before the tragedy struck the Lances and torn apart the family.
Autodestructive. Obessive. He wanted to get the vigilante so much that he didnât hesitate to use his own daughter as a bait.
Favorite episode (scene if movie)
2x03 Broken Dolls of course. And the first time he has to reach out to the Arrow (then the Hood) for help and form uneasy alliance to save Laurel (1x13, Betrayal).
Season 1 Quentin is awesome, but season 2 is more interesting due to the change he goes through, slowly accepting the Arrow as someone who this city needs.
There is much more than one. ;))
Season 1, episode 1 âPilotâ
âWell, thanks for your statement. Weâll put out an APB on⌠Robin hood.â
Hilton: âIt looks like Queen was telling the truth.âLance: âYeah. Well, thereâs a first time for everything.â
Season 1, episode 5 âDamagedâ
âIâll be asking you a few questions, standard stuff for the report. Have you been arrested before? Thatâs ok, I know the answer to that one, plenty of times.âSeason 2, episode 3 âBroken dollsâ
Season 2, episode 3 âBroken Dollsâ
[After the Arrow shot a guy] âIâm sorry. I guess he just gets enthusiastic sometimes.â
âSo glad you invited me to tag along. So, this is what a typical nightâs like for you, huh? Just a little breaking and entering.â
Season 2, episode 10 âBlast Radiusâ
Lance: You know, most cops, they meet their informants in the backseat of a cruiser or maybe a coffee shop or something, but⌠Whatâs with the mask?Arrow: Gift from a friend.Lance: You got friends?
Season 3, episode 23 âMy name is Oliver Queenâ
âLet me guess. This is coming from your buddy Queen, right? The cityâs under attack? Must be May?â
Season 4, episode 2 âThe Candidateâ
âYou werenât kidding about doing things differently, were you? Instead of pin cushioning guys, now youâre burning them alive?â
Season 4, episode 4 âBeyond Redemptionâ
âYou spend more time here now than when you were getting collared for hitting paparazzi.â
âSo these visits, are they going to be a, uh, weekly thing?â
âCity hall has cut my budget so tight, I canât get evidence turned around before Iâm 80.â
âAfter what happened to the last few mayors, Iâm hoping you win in a landslide.â
âWhat, are you going to tell me youâre running for president now?â
âWhat, I donât get a code name like the rest of you?â
âAnd no, Iâm not ok.â [asked by Oliver if he is okay]
âDonât worry; I got enough to put you away for 25 years. Kidding.â
âOh, jeez. Heh. You know I got a heart condition, right?â
âYou got your own key or something?â
Quentin and Oliver/the Arrow of course. Their relationship was the axis of the show. Once it was gone, there was no more âArrowâ I enjoyed orginally.
He knew all the time that Oliver is the Arrow, even despite the fact the show started to redcon it due to the organic writing [tm].
Removing Quentin from police force was a huge mistake. It simply made zero sens within the set narrative.
I wish Quentin had a bigger part in S3 onward. In the show that didnât turn into an autoparody.
