Healing effects are quite useful to keep us away from lethal damage, but overall is not that difficult to break through as the opponent keeps gaining the lead. Instead, many Decks arround healing effects will work along other benefits to assure the best advantageous position as possible. From monsters increasing their stats depending of our Life Points to disruptive abilities triggered when we heal ourselves, is not all just about constantly recovering Life Points but also staying on the lead and nearly unharmed with a combination of effects to stack together.
"Aromaseraphy Angelica" is one of the weakest monsters in the Aroma archetype, yet with two powerful abilities that greatly benefits the goals of her build. During any turn "Angelica" can be discarded from our hand and heal ourselves as much as the ATK of an Aroma monser in our Graveyard, becoming a reliable tool to not only get us away from a tough situation but also an always available option to work along the many Aroma effects. But the job of "Angelica" doesn't end there, as once in the Graveyard cna Special Summon herself if we control an Aroma monster and our Life Points are higher than the opponent's. This effect will make "Angelica" banish herself once leaves the field, but as a Tuner and the clear objective of the archetype to stay healthy as long as possible makes her a quite important member among her allies with a variety of purposes during any Duel.
While thanks to her low stats "Angelica" has a big number of options to be Special Summoned, due her hand effect we should aim for searching options instead. This will be mainly done by the card "Humid Winds", a Continuous Trap constantly adding Aroma members to our hand at cost of our Life Points. However, while the main Β priority is to have "Angelica" in our hand as soon as possible don't hesitate on summoning if we need her as material on the spot, easily achieved by cards like "Lonefire Blossom" and "One for One" summoning her from our Deck or "Aromage Jasmine" giving us an extra Normal Summon. When comes to the Graveyard is undoubtly that "Angelica" will use her own effect to come back when needed the most, but if we want to avoid her banishing demerit we can either work along cards like "Meliae of the Trees" and "Debris Dragon" to revive her, or "Imperial Iron Wall" completely nullifying her negative effect.
The purposes arround "Angelica" will greatly vary depending of the situation of the Duel itself. Her Graveyard effect is quite simple in comparison, reviving herself when we need a material to summon all sorts of Extra Deck monsters including "Ancient Sacred Wyvern" highly benefiting of the arhcetype or Rank 1 Xyz Monsters to avoid her banishing effect. But her hand effect will have all kinds of outcomes completely up to whichever cards and effects available during a Duel. On her own, "Angelica" becomes a solid option to quickly counter incoming damage as targets powerful Aroma members in the Graveyard like "Aromage Bergamot". But once we gather Aroma cards on the field the real efficiency of "Angelica" will show up, ranging from triggering effects to counter the opponent's turn such as "Dried Winds" or "Aromaseraphy Rosemary", to simply further improving our options thanks to "Aromage Jasmine" and "Aromaseraphy Jasmine" providing us cards in our hand. Obviously by sending herself to the Graveyard or simply being summoned for a bigger summon means that her revival effect will become quickly available, therefore if disposed during our turn we can immediately follow with her own summon to further strength our board.
Although dependant of her own archetype for the best outcomes, specially her revival effect, "Aromaseraphy Angelica" easily becomes one of the main sources for an Aroma Deck to obtain some of their most vital purposes. A chainable healing effect that can go from taking us out from a tough spot to triggering most of the Aroma and other cards' effects, and a revival effect that although banishes "Angelica" becomes easily available to obtain a cheap material right away. A flexible card that despite needing a solid board for her main results still provides great benefits regardless of how little her healing effect might provide, as by combining her two abilities together makes "Angelica" a staple member from early to late game.
Personal Rating: A
+ Discards herself to gain Life Points equal to an Aroma's ATK in our Graveyard + Revives herself if we have more Life Points than the opponent and we control an Aroma monster + Discard effect will have all sorts of purposes no matter how much will heal us
- Banishes herself once leaves the field after being revived by her own effect - Results completely vary of the situation on the field - Might rely on staying on the lead and other Aroma cards for her full potential
