what is take me last about? I really like your inspo tag for it, it sounds interesting!
so take me last is arguably the gayest story I am working on right now.
basically, it’s a love story told from the point of view of the Creator of the Universe, in which the metaphysical embodiment of death is the object of affection.
in the story, the creator essentially believes itself into being, and Death is the first being it meets. it immediately becomes infatuated with Them as They explain that what the creator exists to do is- uh, duh- Create, but everything Created must eventually be destroyed, which is where Death comes in. the creator sees Them as this amazing and powerful and beautiful being, and has absolutely no qualms with Them taking everything away in the end.
especially because, at the very end of everything, They will also take it. which it is like “thAT’S FINE THAT’S OK THAT’S SOME GOOD SHIT PLS KILL ME” because you know. infatuation.
I’m writing the creator as really young because, I think, in creator terms, it is. very young. and fucking clueless. has no idea what it’s doing, but it’s having a blast. and being very, very gay for Death.
whereas Death is old as balls and like mildly embarrassed by how the creator feels for Them. like… this child. this baby. really likes Them. so much. the most. but it’s also enchanting? because no one and nothing has ever felt affection- true affection, as it grows into- for Them before, so They find Themself drawn to it more and more as time passes.
the story’s told through snippets of their conversations and meetings, with brief or sometimes overwhelming views of what’s going on in the human world around them. (including but not limited to: the first murder, the AIDS crisis, the first few years of jazz music, the breaking of Pangea, and the acid-throwing crisis.)
TL;DR God loves Death and it’s Very, Very Gay
but mostly it’s just another story where i write about someone being very overwhelmed and in awe by the person they love
