It’s not Valentine’s Day
it’s the Night of the Loving Dead!
Lordi
Stage 48 - New York, NY - February 2017
I went to bed last night with Necropolis by Arockalypse stuck in my head but I woke up with both Necropolis and Ghost Ship stuck in my head so I figure it was a sign that if I don't listen to full album at least once today then it will incrementally increase per day to 10 songs at once and I will die
Not my fault no one listens to those. It's everyone else's fault actually

YALL LOOK WHAT MY SCENE FRIEND MADE FOR ME
ALL OF YOU BETTER LIKE IT
(Edit: for those unaware, "Shrimp" is my other online nickname and has nothing to do with Lordi even though I wear both on my one wrist. I know it's a wild ratio from "Metal Traitor" to some prawn, but that's what you get haha)
I don't know how to explain why especially because pretty much nobody has listened to either let alone both but the album The Ark by Arockalypse and the Amazing Trans-Metropolitans and the Scott Rockenfield soundtrack to TeleVoid (1997) hit the same neurons in my brain and they hit 'em good
Obscure music lovers please listen to The Ark by Arockalypse and the Amazing Trans-Metropolitans genuinely one of my favorite albums and by an artist with TEN LISTENERS on Spotify. TEN. 10! That is a CRIME
Genre is kind of like... not electronic rock, more like electro-rock. It's a concept album, of course, I can't help myself. Ghost Ship is my favorite track for probably obvious reasons but they're all pretty equal in quality. It is from 2003, for those to whom it matters.
And I know it's one of those, "Oh he's just saying it's one of his favorites because he thinks it's underrated, it's probably mid and if everyone knew about it he wouldn't be so obsessed with it" but TRUST. ME. It is so genuinely good. It is organically top 10 for me, I loved it age 12 before I knew how obscure it was or even like... that there was a whole music world out there.
Note: It is nsfw, very explicitly dark & sexual & adult themes. I can't stop you from listening if you're a teenager but y'know just saying... like I said I did listen to it for the first time when I was around 12 so. Lmao.
