Good news! I just heard: your f/o doesn't love you! They don't want to be in a romantic relationship with you. They don't want to get married. Hell, they can barely tolerate holding your hand!

I don't want my f/o to love me. The thought of it makes me feel disgusted, actually. Not in a self-esteem way. I am not being negative or self-deprecating here. I'm saying that if my f/o told me they loved me, romantically loved me, I think I would have to leave them. Because I don't love my f/os! I am not romantically interested in any of them! And I do not want any of them romantically interested in me, either!

Your platonic & familial f/os believe you when you say you don't have a crush on someone. They never tease you or assume you're lying when you say you're not romantically interested in anyone. The topic of romance barley, if ever, comes up with them, actually!

Must I "love" my F/O? Is it not enough to want to want to mercilessly beat the shit out of them? To want to see their guts? To bite them and taste their blood? Like can they not just be my personal chew toy??

6. Do you and your F/O have a “shared language” (made up of insides jokes and references to things you’ve experienced together)?? Do you have an inside joke or reference you’d like to share??

Oh, yes. They're obnoxious. They are, like, ssooo obnoxious, actually. These two love making stupid bible references to each other. The most recent one I thought of is them referring to the garden they met at (which is also behind a church) as "Eden". because an angel and demon periodically meeting in "eden" to discuss supernatural shit is lowkey funny af.

8. Do you and your F/O know how to cheer one another up on a bad day?? How do you cheer up your F/O?? How do they cheer you up??

Jake let's Vincent rant, about anything and everything that's pissing him off. He doesn't say much during these rants, maybe a comment here or there, even when it's clear Vincent is just ruminating on a subject.

It depends on how bad of a day it was/what happened, in order for Vincent to cheer up Jake. Most of the time it can be solved with cuddling, though sometimes Jake needs to let out his anger by sparring.

Ultimately, the two know it's best to let the other tire themselves out before offering any advice or solutions.

19. For those who are demiromantic or greyromantic, were you, your F/O or others around you confused when you started to have romantic feelings for your F/O??

My favorite thing to compare romance to is sickness ... so often I will have characters confuse having a crush with being deathly ill. I love it. That is to say, Vincent absolutely thought something about himself was "off /neg" when he started developing feelings for Jake.

... Until Emory had enough of his wallowing and gently suggested they might be into Jake.

From Jake's POV, he could tell Vincent was treating him differently, but it was in a positive way aka being nicer to him and it was very confusing. There was a whole day where Vincent didn't threaten to stab him. He was very disappointed.

23. For those who are hyperromantic aro-specs, how do you navigate this with your F/O?? Is it something they understand and are supportive of, or is it something they struggle with?? Do you have accompanying romance repulsion with your hyperromance??

I love how everyone is having cute f/o scenarios for Valentine's Day meanwhile I am over here like "if my f/o so much as even THINKS about holding my hand I'll rip out his guts"
