Capitaine de Commando Maraudeur
J'aime beaucoup ce petit là . Plein de petits détails à faire. Une petite réussite.
Et toujours, avec un humain pour échelle
z‘par the undying flame and its fire sprites.
Boy #9 (Ork #10)
It's been a while but this is my first Boy for Orktober.
Pleased with the skin-tone here, this is my Skarsnik Green + Flayed One Flesh from Citadel and then a thinned layer of Ork Skin from Army Painter Speed Paints.
I think that's the general recipe for my Boyz locked down even though I do like having some variation in skin-tone across my minis.
Still not happy with his pants or torso and that's partially down to the areas just being fiddly to get to combined with my lack of fine motor skills. I am increasingly thinking I might have to start painting in sub-assembly just to counteract this issue.
My major concern there is that I have to figure out how to either not-paint the contact points so I can keep using Tamiya Extra Thin Cement OR find a better way to apply super glue to the painted pieces.
I bought some broom mimics at a con about a year ago! They look so very fun, and I always like more mimics to play around with, so I just had to have them.
The miniatures are mainly painted with the Army Painter’s Speedpaints, while the floors are painted with D&D Adventurers Paint Set and all shadows and highlights have been done manually.
The models are from the Mimics set by Vae Victis Miniatures, which are itself part of the Bar Brawl set by Vae Victis Miniatures made in June 2021, though only the mimic form of the miniature can be found in the Mimics set. To make things even more complicated, I bought them from Mimic Kingdom at a con, and they were sold as a set but separate from the other mimic types. So. It's complicated. I'd try the Bar Brawl set if I was looking for both versions of the mimic.

Hullo fellow mini painters! I recent bought the Army Painter Warpaint Fanatic set. Since I was making swatches for them anyway I thought I would do a comparison between the new Army Painter line and the random assortment of paints that I all ready own. The Warpaint Fanatic line is on the left and on the right are paints from AK Interactive, Army Painter (old), Citadel, Pro Acryl, and Vallejo.
Anval Thricedamned by Reaper Miniatures. Painted this one with Reaper, Citadel, and Army Painter paints. Created the base using Gale Force 9 and Reaper products. Thanks for looking!
