I was just looking at a still from the moment when Crowley is talking to “army human” at the Tadfield air base and it suddenly clicked that Crowley is having a close-up conversation with the guy without his sunglasses on.

So this low-ranking army shmuck just had a conversation with a woman with two voices, watched a man get out of a car that is very aggressively on fire, and looked straight into Crowley’s snake-eyes at close range, and he’s still, “nope, going to do my job, nobody’s getting through this gate.”

You have to admit, that’s pretty bad-ass for somebody who is entirely out of their depth.
