The Helicopter flew through the air as Gwen adjusted her jacket against the cold wind, the man across from her was a ginger he was dressed in dark clothes wearing a jeep hat covering his red hair, in his hand was a suppressed assault rifle and with a suppressed pistol on his leg, to her right and left were two other operators who were also dressed in black, she actually didn’t know their names so she had trouble starting a conversation.

Eventually she spoke up saying “I’ve heard stories about you guys…”

The red head raised an eyebrow as Gwen finished quickly “Terrorist’s disappearing hundreds of miles behind enemy lines…I always wondered who did that…”

The red heads team chuckled as he answered “you have us confused with someone else.” He lied unconvincingly.

Gwen rolled her eyes “sure…Just know that you four have likely seen some serious shit in your time…but nothing gets you ready for Daniel… the man wrote the book on creepy cult ways of killing people.”

Rain poured as the redhead sighed saying “Our briefing told us this was a DOJ Op…as the lead agent on this…talk to me about level of force.”

Lighting flashed illuminating the FBI on the back of Gwen’s jacket as she sighed “well the cult are frantic…rating close to insane on a mass scale, and if we could do things normally well we would not need four operators.”

The red head frowned “our briefing said they were well armed, own most of the county…sounds like a job for the National Guard…why did you ask for us?”

Gwen answered saying “I have been doing best to support some locals, this rural country so plenty of armed folk with a hatred of cultists who just need a direction.”

The red head nodded “sound like brave folk.”

Gwen agreed “they are…and to answer your question…it is believed that the cult may have hijacked a nuclear Weapon…”

The Team went alert as the red head said “that was not in our briefing.”

Gwen sighed “it’s unconfirmed…but you can see why I would have your team then the National Guard.”

The red head went silent as his team adjusted their weapons…Gwen sighed “you know they never told me your names…”

The red head smiled widely before saying “no names Agent Santos…but you can call me Nomad.”

Gwen tried the name “Nomad…” before nodding thinking that it suited the redhead.

They fell back into comfortable silence as they flew back a giant statue of Daniel saying calmly “the agent they killed…did you know him?”

Gwen saw Jasper’s smiling face for just a second as she nodded “He was my partner…”

Nomad blushed lightly saying quickly “I’m sorry that’s tough.”

Gwen sighs “they saw it gets easier.”

Nomad glanced at her form under his hat “but it doesn’t does it?”

Before Gwen could answer the helicopter touched down and the small team got out into the pouring rain.

Gwen went inside to check with her bosses as David crouched down and one of his men said “what do you think about the Nuke Boss?”

David sighed “cross that bridge when we come to it…remember we are not here…this is Gwen…Agent Santos show.”

They all nodded as they entered for a detailed briefing on the cult’s inner workings.

Gwenvid special ops AU?

 Agent Gwen Santos: Low level FBI agent assigned with her partner Jasper to investigate a possibly dangerous cult in rural Montana 

Agent Jasper Collins : senior Agent was Kidnapped killed and brutally murdered and left on Gwen's door step (she moved hotels and kept her head down after calling it in) she asked for Special Ops over the national guard over the chance that the there is a nuke in play.

QM: QM or Quartermaster to his friends is a grizzled old man and leader of the anti Cult movement that is now armed conflict with the cult, he quite liked Jasper and on the fence about Gwen.  

Master Sargent, David “Nomad” Greenwood: Possibly the sweetest trained killer to ever grace the US Army, he has a love of the out doors, children, and his work. he joined the Army to get them to pay for college (for botany no less.) he ended up loving it and staying in the service eventually qualifying until a highly classified, special Unit known as the Ghost wolves. 

Daniel “the Father”: local Cult leader, murderous asshole, possibly in control of a nuclear weapon, killed Agent Collins....generally the worst. 

Jen: former CIA interrogation girl for the cult, married to Daniel...Can ID  the ghost wolves.
