Military kid here...... could you do a blurb of Tom x soldier!reader where she comes home from deployment and surprises Tom? Or even soldier!tom would be cool to. FLUFFFFF
Hi! Just a little disclaimer for next time if you want to send it in as an ask it would be far easier for me to do 🥰🥰💗💗
You knew the moment you started dating tom things wouldn’t be normal. He would be gone all the time, often leaving in the middle of the night with a note on the counter as he was needed. Being gone for month hurt but you still loved him dearly.
“Happy birthday darling!” Toms mother came to kiss your cheek. You smile softly as she hands you the glass of wine and you feel your smile quickly fade as all you wanted was tom. A phone call, voicemail, hell even a letter would make you feel better but there was nothing.
“Thank you.” You smiled back at her as the backyard party was hosted by both your mom and Toms. The hallways of the house painted with family pictures and individual ones of the young boy.
“He would be here if he could.” She placed her hand on your shoulder and you nodded. You hated when people talked to you like that, made him sound dead. He wasn’t dead, he just wasn’t home.
“I know.” You smile he her and she walks off. You’re caught up with the family picture of tom at the beach when he was a kid, big crooked smile thinking how maybe one day your own kids could be running around at the beach.
“Well, good thing I could be here then.” A soft, sharp, slightly horse voice came though the living room and you look up. Your eyes immediately fill with tears as you see Tom standing there, bags at the floor in a tight t-shirt and uniform pants. His hair starting to come back and you almost fall into his arms as you run torwards him.
“Tom?” You whisper in shock and you hear his mom come in along with the rest of the family to greet him with tears and hugs.
“Happy birthday Angel, missed you.” He pressed a kiss to your cheek and you only held on tighter. “Missed you so much thought of you everyday.” He kissed again and you sobbed into his shoulder.
As much as he made his way to everyone, you didn’t let go. You never let go of his hand or him in general. You missed him more than anything and now that he was home he was all yours.
