(Â @armoreddavinci captured a wild stark )
it had been 1947; the most recent threat to the world - a woman by the name of whitney frosty. they had fixed it; with the help of PEGGY CARTER, and some interesting science-friends. howard had helped, and through that very-first hand experience, he had realised that the world needed a defence against this kind of threat. a shield. like captain americaâs shield. huh.
and so, he had set to work on creating this organisation. he had the resources, the money; the time - why not? he had just compiled a list of people to help with it, and he was confident that everyone on that list would be perfect for the jobs at hand. they were all head strong, hard working people. god - he really hoped that peg agreed to join them.
before he had the chance to pick up the phone and start making some calls, things went dark. after this event, everything was blurry; hard to remember. all he did remember was pain. pain, and the same questions and actions again and again and again. and howard was no soldier- no general. he was just a guy. an inventor. an engineer. he couldnât hold up to that kind of thing. BUT, what he could do? he could talk. he had a talent of talking his way through things. eventually, they gave him enough specialised equipment and a lab to start working on something that hydra very much needed. that âsomethingâ? howard wished he could remember; he had forgotten the brief as soon as it was set to him. his mind was instead on something else. something to get him out of their grasp. and for the most part, it worked.
definitely for the most part.
this was as much as he remembered. the pain, some events, but nothing that he could really grasp onto; no faces, no information. his mind was once again, blurry, and all over the place. it seemed like he was looking down on the scene from a ghostâs perspective. because one moment, he was in a lab, in 1947, and the next? he was head over heels; a burning sensation spreading out across every part of his skin. he was in a warehouse, that much he was sure of; since, of course, there was some abandoned beds and needles that had probably once held drugs. along with the pattering of footsteps running out the door.
he coughed into the dust; the dirty floor. but before he could do anything, he heard something. a gun, and some frantic german. he groaned, turning his head towards the men that had apparently hitched a ride with him. from what he could make out? they were demanding where they were and what he had done.Â
howard was in no position to respond. the most he could do was shift his hand, trying to scrape the ground and push himself up, but it was unsuccessful. whatever he had done? he was damn sure it was unintentional.Â
