Both of them are very insecure in their relationship. Tim doesn’t believe that Jason really likes him, he still worries about the harsh words that they have exchanged in the past as well as his ability to be an adequate partner for Jason. Jason worries that he isn’t good enough for Tim, he wants to give that boy the world but he knows that he can’t and often thinks of leaving Tim for that reason. They’re too hopelessly in love to actually act on those things though and instead keep these insecurities hidden but they do tend to bubble up now and again.
